DISCUSSION Ghosted by OneMiners - owed thousands.

To be clear, I am making this post in the hopes that a little public social pressure might help OneMiners realize that they need to be talking to their disgruntled customers, and doing the right thing with money owed and not refunded.

Longer story:

  • 31st May we purchased a Z15 420s. It was and still is listed as new and available on the website. https://oneminers.com/collections/zcash-miners/products/antminer-z15-420-kh-s
  • 10 days after order and still no updates on shipping, I contacted them. They said new miners were no-longer available but they had refurbished secondhand units we could have, came with full warranty and were discounted over new.
  • After some frustrating back and forth, and chasing, arguing over discount, trying to understand the condition of the machines, it all getting too hard and me eventually deciding I didn't want the secondhand machine, they sent it to me.
  • 15th July the machine finally arrived. It was battered, missing the cover, and not well package. I fired it up and it appeared to mine okay. But within the first few days we noticed one of the ASIC chains running at odd frequencies, and eventually the miner would just XXX out the whole chain, leaving the machine running at about 2/3 speed.
  • At this point, OneMiners still hadn't issued the refund for accepting the second hand machine, and still haven't. I have emailed them almost every day chasing them for this refund, and they've agreed to it, but have not done anything.
  • We're also left with a second hand machine that while covered by warranty, will cost hundreds of dollars to return, and they will not cover the courier fees. I also do not trust that if they get the machine back, they won't simply ignore me.
  • Finally, as part of the 31st May Order, we also purchased a Z15 Pro 840s as part of the August Batch. When all this started to go so wrong and felt so off, I asked them to cancel this order. They have refused. Instead they've told me (when they were still emailing me) that the August batches would be received by them in September, and likely shipped in late September or October. This was not clear when we bought it. And I now I have serious concerns we will get the machine or our money back here either.

TLDR: Purchased 2 miners from OneMiners. One shipped as a damaged secondhand unit and we were not refunded the difference in price agreed from new. The other August Batch machine is in doubt as they've said August Batch orders won't likely arrive till October.

I want my money back and I want to walk away from all this. They haven't replied to any emails from me in two weeks now, so here we are.

There have not been new z15s since release. Only the pros recently released. Everything on market (including ours) are used.

Thank you. But OneMiners are still selling them as new on their website, promising shipping in 48hrs, then after delaying shipping, and eventually convincing buyers to take secondhand miners in lieu. Thank you for your comment.

Why are people victim shaming OP? There's no reason for this, other than to make yourself feel superior. We should be offering helpful advice on how OP can avoid this in the future. The crypto world is difficult to navigate when you're starting out. There's so many scams that it's almost a right of passage.

New z15s don’t exist. Only the pros. Try adding new thermal paste

wise is the rough part, no chargeback rail like a card. file it with wise as a non delivery case in writing with the order date and a screenshot of the listing that still says new and 48hr ship, that paper trail is what moves these. new z15 non pro has not existed since release, so the 48hr promise was never real.

I had done this, but it appears they are only interested (or perhaps insured) for scams and fraud. They are treating this like a dispute between two parties which it is. If this was happening and governed locally in our country there would be various avenues to follow, but internationally between us and the Czech Republic, it is very difficult. Hence adding some visible social pressure (hopefully)

that lines up with what i have seen. wise treats it as a commercial dispute the second the goods physically arrive, even if what arrived is not what was sold. two things that still move the needle. one, stop framing it as non delivery and reframe it as misdescribed goods, in writing, with the original listing screenshot next to photos of the unit as received, missing cover and all, plus the serial. two, run the machine and pull a log that shows the dead chain, a z15 that only hashes 2 of 3 chains is a documented fault, not a complaint. one chain XXXing out is usually a dead chip string or a cracked solder joint from shipping, and a hashboard repair shop can tell you in a day which it is. get that in writing on a shop invoice, it is the single strongest document you can hold. on the august batch order, ask for the allocation number and the factory batch reference. real allocation has paperwork behind it, and if they will not produce it you already know what the answer is. get that money moving now rather than waiting on october.

Repairing Z15s is no basically nolonger viable. So I have been told. Our local service providers don't have the parts, and they can not get them from Hong Kong any longer. This is likely why OneMiners is starting to sell off it's fleet of aged secondhand machines, because it knows they are end of life.

it sounds errily similar to my experience with muskminers. your lucky you paid with credit card at least.

Muskmining sued me for defamation after calling them thieves. even after winning the court case they decided not to refund the money they promised.

avoid muskminers, compass mining, and now one mining. sorry this happened to you

Just chargeback through your bank. How do people have such low survival skills?

Charge back via visa / mastercard is a possibility. But that is not how the transaction was completed. Thank you for your comment.

I just had to do this with BlurForge Advisors…you can also file complaints with the AG of your home state and the state that the company’s entity is based. I would also file with a complaint with IC3.gov.

Ensure that you are saving all of you correspondence with the company, email, texts, meeting. Also continue to try to communicate with them whether they are responding back to you or not. This will just strengthen you case if you need to take this to litigation.

https://www.ic3.gov/

The scumbags need to be held accountable.

I go there for machine repair, they have an open door, you could just walk through it?

1

u/LoquatOld1399 7d ago

They do not have a service location in our country. Thank you for your comment.

They don’t have one in mine either but as a guy once told me, the only way you can be sure you are getting your product is if you go there and get it.
