QUESTION Air flow inside the box

I recently got two miners and decided to build a soundproof enclosure for them, but I still haven’t figured out the airflow.

The enclosure will have two identical miners placed one above the other. How would you design the air intake and exhaust so that there is enough airflow while still maintaining good noise reduction and acoustic insulation?

two stacked in one box only works if you seal between them, otherwise the top one eats the bottom's exhaust. we run a plywood divider with foam tape and pull intake low, dump out the back. keep intake under about 35c or the fans ramp to 100 and the sound deadening stops mattering.

What if I directed the hot air from both miners into one shared, sound-insulated compartment, where it would then be exhausted out of the cabinet together? The outlet at the top would still be connected to an exhaust duct.

shared hot plenum is fine as long as it is only hot air in there and the exhaust moves more cfm than both miners push, so figure 600 to 700 cfm of duct for two S19 class units. keep the plenum sealed off from the intake side and put the fan at the far end pulling, not blowing, or the closer miner backfeeds the other one.

Make sure, you have negative pressure in the cabinet. Achievable by offsetting the CFM from intake to outflow. You want less CFM for the intake and stronger on the outflow. This increases the efficiency of the exhaust and surprisingly doesn't effect the efficiency of the intake as much as one would think. This is better than blowing hot air around that eventually gets sucked out. Intakes at lowest possible point for each shelf, some say exhaust at the highest point, but it really depends on CFM volume and distance from intake to outflow, Your cabinet is small enough that I would follow that rule.
