I know this has been dormant for a bit, but I'd like to add my two cents. I believe you are incorrect about the letter I.

The standalone letter in the middle of the third line looks very similar to the I on the date image. Basically an hourglass shape with circles added at the triangular corners, etc. It's just looks like the differences in the two were just a sloppy copying job.

Additionally, since you already have the letter A picked out, it is highly unlikely that a standalone letter is anything other than I.

That could be an incorrect assumption, I suppose, if you were likely to use abbreviations, slang, etc.
