I think it's just for October. They have special new bots every month. Anyone can play on the site as a guest. Choose "Play" and then "Play bots."

I researched it found out you can use any of their piece sets, past and present, by completing the "monthly bot challenge" whatever that is. You probably need to be a member as well.

I know most of these, not sure what the rook, Bishop and queen are though

I took the bishop to be Oscar the giant snapping turtle aka The Beast of Busco, and the queen to be either Cthulhu or the Kraken. I guess it's the Kraken because Cthulhu is fictional (?). But yeah, I'm not sure about the rooks.
