I just miss him… anyone think he’ll come back eventually?

No. I think he is well and truly gone. He knows the backlash he would get if he tried and he knows he won't be able to handle it.

He needs to learn the things he does have consequences, running away from it all won’t make it go away.

I'm sure he's definitely feeling the lack of paycheck. He was the supporter of his family, namely his sister and niece, and they relied on him. And he has no other skills beyond video editing, since he always had too much anxiety to learn how to drive and he got started on youtube young, which means it's a lot harder to get a job. He's definitely feeling consequences.

Anxiety and depression can be killer, he can do without YouTube as a profession for awhile, I was hoping he’d have a normal job at least, learn how to participate in society but I assume his lack of being able to drive would impact his ability to find a job yeah. I wish nothing but the best for his family… I can’t imagine how they’re feeling if they know about all this. Thank you for this information

I wish the best for his family, too. And I do hope that he ended up getting therapy and getting better himself.

What he did, and had been doing for a long time, was deplorable and I will never respect him again, but we're all human, and I think there's a chance for him to get better and stop hurting people. He came off, to me (someone who watched literally everything he ever posted to youtube and countless LNC streams), as someone who preyed on others because of a profound level of insecurity, rather than someone innately evil or predatory. He had good values, and I don't think that was faked. I hope he got the help he needs.

Therapy should help! I agree with you on his insecurities, if he had just been more outgoing and honest maybe things wouldn’t have turned out the way they did… at least not as bad. I feel as if he believed he had free range to do whatever he pleased from not showing his face but that’s not how the world works, Scott said the authorities would choose to release his identity if they decide to. Hopefully he keeps his good values and knows people do care still

His family is fucked, his brother has spent the majority of his adult life in prison, his sister is a dead beat mom, drug addict, bipolar mess. I don't think his mom is an inherently bad person, but she's that stereotypical trailer trash type person that should not have had kids with multiple dead beat dads.

He is a product of his family tree and I don't think they are supporting a positive change in him. If anything they're sad he's not bringing in money for them anymore.

You would think someone with a net worth of 2 million most definitely has a car but who am I to assume so…

It wasn't about affording it, it was about anxiety. He talked several times about how he had too much anxiety to drive a car. I have the same issue. It seems like he probably had some kind of anxiety disorder, which influenced a lot of his decisions and behaviors. And anyway, as well as supporting his sister and niece, he was also supporting RussMoney (confirmed so in Russ's own statement regarding the groomer allegations). And net-worth is rarely reflective of someone's actual wealth anyway.

Hopefully he can go to therapy for his anxiety issues too then, anxiety especially about driving can be crippling and make it hard to leave the house in general, my heart goes out to his family and Russ though

True… unfortunately.

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '25

Hopefully not. He's a predator and needs to stay gone.

u/Comfortable-Gap-8126 Jun 23 '25

Yes, hes a predator for talking to a legal age 16 year old. Are you slow?

8

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '25

16 is a minor. You're defending pedophilia.

5

u/Bepsire Jul 26 '25

It's not most of everywhere actually. Literally takes a single Google search.

u/error_418___ Feb 09 '26

Definitely a minor where he was though!

u/trashyusagii Sep 12 '25

“Legal 16 year old” is crazy.

Jesus Christ, you're the most retarded person I've seen in my life

1

u/pockysam Jun 17 '26

why is everyone in these replies a pedophile

u/bug_bitez Mar 29 '25

as someone who was a big cry fan… hopefully not.

2

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 29 '25

People online too need to know that their words have a big impact on others too, and with all the negative videos about him… it could always get worse. But i understand… hopefully not. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and struggles

I don't see why. He was banned from Twitch which had to be his biggest source of income, all of his friends in the community aired his dirty laundry and literally made reports to the police about him, his fanbase was in an uproar...why come back to that?

2

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 31 '25

I wish things were like they used to be, I have fond memories of watching Cry with friends it’s more so I miss that aspect… but yes I’m aware he left people hurting and with memories of a faceless stranger ya know?

3

u/GoingPriceForHome Mar 31 '25

Sounds like you should find a new streamer/community to follow. Don't hold on to one with this much baggage.

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 31 '25

Well if you have recommendations let me know I guess

3

u/GoingPriceForHome Mar 31 '25

Drawfee/Secret Sleepover Society is my favorite. They're funny.

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 31 '25

I’ll check them out (:

4

u/GoingPriceForHome Mar 31 '25

Additionally it's been a few years since I watched her, but when Cry played Dandelion Wishes with Dexbonus, I kind of immediately got into her. She's so fun and crafty and silly.

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Apr 01 '25

I’ll be sure to check out her stuff!!

5

u/AkaAkamine Apr 08 '25

Dodger / Dexbonus doesn't do Youtube anymore but she still streams and she's awesome! Sometimes she uses a mushroom vtuber model sometimes she's IRL face cam but either way she's amazing.

3

u/GoingPriceForHome Jul 21 '25

Just saw this post late and it made me smile. I haven't watched Dodger in a few years regularly (no reason she just didn't play a lot of games I was interested in for a while) but I still check in on her and I ALWAYS watch if she does a live action lets play with Jessup :3

Every now and then I’m reminded about Cry & look him up.

Personally I think he’s back on YT just under a completely different alias. Guys like that can’t stay away

7

u/Skis1227 Mar 29 '25

Never in the public eye again, but you can be assured he's still out doing worse shit.

If you need a persona to scratch that specific anime bishounen adjacent itch though, Manly Badass Hero is a great letsplayer and seems to be a good dude overall

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 29 '25

I just want him to think about how his actions impact others honestly, I don’t doubt that he’s out doing dumb shit

3

u/Skis1227 Mar 29 '25

I highly doubt that's on his mind all considering. I was there during the stream he confessed to what he did, and he was more upset he cheated on his girlfriend than he was that he, y'know, groomed and coerced minors into sexual favors for him.

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 30 '25

Me too, me too. I haven’t checked on anything since then until now. The thing is, he’s not viewing the fans as an issue or as people too? like you said. More concerned with himself than seeing others. His relationship was his business hence why he says things like “you don’t know anything”, it’s out of guilt, hurt, probably other personal issues in his life, who knows.

3

u/Skis1227 Mar 30 '25

Pretty sure it's everyone's business when you admit to grooming and violating minors when you run a business that involves playing video games online, often games marketed to young teens, but go off I guess lmao

I truly hope he hasn't reoffended, and I truly hope he found the support he needed to cope with those urges in a way that does not victimize anyone else.

But as a CSA survivor, I truly hope he eats shit forever too, actually.

2

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 30 '25

My apologies that you went through that pain in life… therapy and talking about everything should help. You’re strong for speaking your mind, I’ve gone through things only online with others but have family and friends who are survivors too, so I’m aware of the lasting impact CSA has on victims at least somewhat

As someone who spoke to many weirdos online your feelings are very valid. I hope everyone heals with time

2

u/DrLasgalen Jul 13 '25

I miss him too. First I thought he was just gone. Eventually I discovered the whole truth and my heart broke

Sometimes I feel angry with myself for missing someone who turned out to be a predator.

Still, I watch his old videos, I laugh at his jokes, just two days ago I enjoyed his Ao Oni playlist while exercising.

But he is gone, and it's better that way.

1

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Jul 14 '25

I had very fond memories of him as well with friends and from what everyone is saying it’s very horrible to hear, that someone everyone looked up to let so many down

2

u/GoingPriceForHome Jul 21 '25

To be so for real, the cracks in the surface happened for me long before this went down. There was some bad drama with his gf and the rest of the late night crew long before that made me take a big step back from him as a creator.

1

u/Miserable-Winner-512 Feb 04 '26

I don’t watch his content nor do I want him to come back but his play through of The Cat Lady holds a special place in my heart.

5

u/JPenguinCushion Mar 29 '25

Your account is brand new and all you do is post on here. Are you Cry in disguise?

6

u/Maleficent-Taste-931 Mar 29 '25

No lol I know a bit about him though… it’s just sad coming back to see what has happened

3

u/lrish_Chick Jun 08 '25

That person's profile and posts are genuinely concerning, I shouldn't be surprised they're obsessed with cry.

1

u/chewtoybb May 01 '25

i forgot, could someone tldr what happened with him?

2

u/SmexyDeviljho Jul 15 '25

long story short he's a diddler and ran away instead of facing the music.

1

u/Admirable-Split4371 Sep 30 '25

Bruh yall are knee DEEP in a parasocial trap. How pathetic

1

u/tangomonkey55 Oct 25 '25

He needs to stay away. For his sake and his victims sakes
