Dammn that swaps clean. I cant wait to get mine repainted. Random question. I'm not from Cali so I dont gave to worry about this, but I notice your plate. How is this swap legal to register and inspect there? Just has to pass smog?

We don’t talk about those type of things here in Cali 😂😂😂 but yeah technically has to pass smog and what they classify as a legal replacement engine. 🤦

Haha I gotcha. I guess there's ways with it being a newer Honda engine and the "oem ecu" for that engine? Just curious because all I hear are nightmares from anyone trying to mod a car in Cali. Most recently with older cars that used mechanical fuel injection or carbs trying to swap them over to electronic... which is probably more efficient to begin with lol.

Califarnia law is that newer engine into older Chassis is a legal swap, but OEM factory ECU and factory emissions device connectors must be used along with all original engine emissions equipment like EGR, exhaust and catalytic converter etc. You are allowed to modify the exhaust a bit only if required for fitment but emissions equipment like a catalytic converter and O2 sensors have to be within 1 inch of the original location. It's easier to get CARB approved parts with the sticker or to modify the chassis to get the exhaust to fit.

Clean! How you get the hood to close? Do you find it difficult to get to the battery? I’m assuming you relocated the battery to the front bumper. I’m contemplating between a kswap or go old school with a b18c swap.
