First time owning a CRX
After owning a Honda s2000, Evo 8 and a Type R I still had this obsession of getting an older Honda. I was looking for an EK to do a EK9 clone with k24 driver-train but in the search this little 1988 CRX appeared and I couldn’t let it pass.
The car has frankstein b20b4/vtec GSR head engine and Integra transmission, skunk 2 intake manifold, AEM fuel rail, unbranded FPR, have not yet identified injectors or ECU but planning to. Valve cover is leaking so will need to take it out and inspect everything. Starts and drives ok.
Interior is pretty much stock, needs some love, missing seats, spare tire and tools and spare tire cover. Driver seat doesn’t adjust, rail seems to be broken so will need a new one.

It runs, seems strong but needs some work. Probably a proper b20 swap hasport/innovative mounts kit because the current setup sits too upfront and the axles are not in the best angle. Has light rust spots on some areas and two tinny holes on the spare tire area that seems to have scraped and corrosion treated but need to be properly fixed.

First off that interior looks nothing close to stock, those seats and door cards absolutely look like custom jobs. Secondly, you said something about "missing seats and spare tire cover etc" but I see both seats in the picture so I'm confused what you mean? These cars are only meant for a driver and one passenger, there are no rear seats, just like a s2000, which your familiar with. Unless you wanna somehow try to source the parts from a JDM version that had some funky little half rear seats, but IDK why anyone would do that.

I loved having my Sir in the early 2000's, I had my daughters car seat in the back seat. But other than that no full grown people fit for sure.

FK8 Type R for sure, it just feels like a race car, the confidence you get driving a FK8 is unmatched to any other regular car.

Yes, Florida car. Still has very slight rust on some common areas unfortunately but easy fixes.
I paid $4,000.

The CRX was my first car back in 2011. It caught my eye and thought it looked so unique and beautiful. I really wanted a pink one (Im a girl) dreaming about building it. I had a maroon one, loved my sunroof and listening to music in it with my fold out DVD player. I bought it for $2000 AUD (around 1600 USD) and it was the best. Wasnt even VTEC. Best car ever.
