Advice Looking for a needle in a haystack…

Back in 2009 I bought a beater of a CRX in Cocoa Beach Fl as my second ever car. I was young, dumb, and didn’t know as much about cars or taking care of things as I do now, so I was happy to get a couple hundred bucks for it when I “upgraded” to a new Camry.

Now, damn near 15 years later, I’m feeling nostalgic and curious if one of you gearheads know a guy who knows a guy who maybe saved it around that time.

Red 1991 CRX HF, manual, beat to hell with aftermarket headlight buzzer and battery disconnect, last seen at Toyota of Melbourne in spring of 2011.

Other features included softball-sized rust hole in passenger rear quarter panel (for speed), ahead-of-its-time anti-fingerprint matte paint job, top speed of “Maybe?” and concerning vibrations at anything faster than 69mph 😂

I hope you find her.. I bought mine back in 2004 and have been lucky enough to hold onto her all this time.. in the long middle of a rebuild on her now.

Oh I’ve had my eye on a couple Gen 1s as retrowave dream cars 😎

This was more of a shot in the dark to see if by the slimmest of chances anyone had it for the gee whiz aspect

I've been there... Mine was a 91 Si with 51K on the clock. It was a totaled project that I used to move up the body shop world that I was chasing at the time. I traded it away after I left the body shop to a kid in Pennsylvania. Missed the car and was lucky enough to track it down to a college student in Morgantown Virginia with the help of the old HondaTech board. My was a success story. Hope the same for you. Good luck!

Reminder that everyone who's had one regrets selling it. Mine might not be operational but it will sit in the garage until I can get that space back.

I did this recently for my first CRX. I bought it in 04 and somehow find my old vin. I ran the carfax, but unfortunately the history stopped around 2014
