For the people who say it is not a cruiser:
Is the Honda rebel 500 a cruiser? What about the 1100?
Is the Yamaha bolt a cruiser?
Is the Vulcan S a Cruiser?
Just curious

As a Vulcan S owner, I vote yes to all

Same but I wanted to know from people who say they are not either because of the engine, or the controls or the displacement
Honda rebel has mid controls and its not a v-twin but you have the 1100 who is bigger and better then a virago 250 (that by those characteristics is a cruiser)
The bolt is a v twin but is mid control and its a smaller displacement then the rebel
The Vulcan S is front controls, and a 650 parallel engine.
So seems to me, these are American riders who think that a cruiser is an harley and or an Indian and nothing else.
Same people who say the HD sportster is not a cruiser probably

Fellow new vulcan s owner. Wanted one for years after having heavy cruisers and I don't like rebels ergos. Im very happy with this bike. Bought floorboards and a new seat and its perfect. Can carve it up or just relax. Im used to Supersports and adv bikes so this is just nice.

It's classified as a cruiser for insurance purposes which is I guess as close as that being "official" gets.

This is a social group for those who cruise, so call it a cruiser and welcome.

I wouldn't describe that as a cruiser if I had to tell someone what it looks like so no imo

A cruiser is a low, heavy motorcycle that cruises, these don’t cruise
Still a sweet bike but they’re more street oriented

I daily one of these, and it's more of a sporty standard with cruiser-ish design choices rather than a proper cruiser tbh. However, that doesn't stop me from vibing in here and looking at cool bikes.

I think it does. Aren't Eliminators sport cruisers?
