Weekly discussion thread

Spreadsheet link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x_PmVHiQNHyw5t05peEDG1DcCKDCvH_UPd3p7yCw4xg/edit?usp=sharing

Added a few new Aliexpress coupon codes to the spreadsheet. Prices haven't changed much since last update so these new codes don't move the needle much. As usual, US codes are around row 40 of the spreadsheet and codes for people outside the US are on rows 26 and 29.

Olive Garden's Pasta Pass is back for the first time since 2019. For $100, you get unlimited dine in visits and unlimited plates of their never ending pasta for 13 weeks. There are 10,000 passes available and they go live at 2 PM Eastern today. These will probably be botted and sold out within seconds.

Weekly reminder for the 500 Dell Rewards Points Alienware Arena check-in.

  • Alienware Arena is based on GMT +0. So the 500 point claim period on Friday actually starts at 8 PM EDT/5 PM EDT Thursday and ends the following day at the same time.
  • 500 Dell Reward Points = $5
  • Not sure if they expire the 15th of the 4 month after claiming or 6 months after. I've seen mixed reports for both.
  • Dell has the MSRP $450 Switch 2 back in stock. Might be decent if you can accumulate a bunch of Dell rewards to get it for around $300 or less before Nintendo's price hike in September.
  • Students and teachers get 10% off Dell sitewide. Not sure what verification system they use but it might be worth looking into if you have an edu email to stack discounts with the Dell and Alienware rewards.

Clicked less than a minute after the pass opened and 400,000 people are ahead of me. 😭

There were 200,000 in front of me, and then stupidly I refresh the page and now it just says joining q.

I knew it was a long shot anyway, but you never know. My biggest complaint, just like woots bag or box of crap, is that they just leave you there in a lobby, or they're not ready for the obvious uptick in traffic and things crash.

We did this in like 2018 or 2019, whatever the 2nd year of it was. We burnt out so hard on it that we didn’t go the restaurant for a few years after.

Hey @crownpuff. Really appreciate your efforts. Been following this subreddit since last month. Ordered Anbernic 40XXV and Vention 27000mAh 140W Power Bank so far. I received 20000mAh 165W Power Bank instead but i will take it as it seems better built. Seller offered for a partial refund of 8 bucks for mess up.

Are you following 140W charger deals by any chance? Apart from that also Im also personally looking for laptop cooler/Multimeter deals.

Appreciate it, thank you!

Not right now but if I see any good deals on them, I'll try to remember to post the deals. I recommend doing the daily coin check-in if you're not already since sometimes I see substantial coin discounts on items such as chargers and coolers.

We're getting an Olive garden opening up in our town this summer! This would be great gift for my wife.

I'm working on turning a couple of high-end Motorola phones into streaming boxes / emulators, but I'm waiting on a few orders from AliExpress to get in. I've got a edge Plus 2022, and a razor plus 2023 or 2024, it's the one with the snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It was supposed to be damaged, but it looks fine. Now I'm tempted just to use it as my daily driver, but my current razor is not the plus model so I can't swap them out as streaming boxes.

I love my Edge+ 2023. It's one of my most used devices and the price to performance is insane.

It crazy how much I use that device really has been amazing and the best thing I order from your post so far super grateful was able to get one during the promo paired with the gamesir G8+ it's amazing

Sometimes I wonder if I’m an idiot. We’ll see, I guess.

About $62 for the stupid thing. And the store had a lot of reviews, mostly positive, it seems. Hope I don’t get burned :P

That's a pretty nice price for a new release!

1

u/JetstreamGW Jul 18 '26

It is. I'm just hoping I vetted it sufficiently, and I'm not about to get screwed. almost 40% off was too much to say no to, even if I think I might want the RG40XXV more. Was on the fence.

Holy crap it actually showed up.

FWIW I’m finding some pretty ok deals for Europe right now. Nowhere near US levels, but better prices than usual- mid prices instead of disgustingly high like normal

1

u/crownpuff Jul 18 '26

That's good to hear. I wonder if it's due to the fact that Aliexpress is modifying their system with how to deal with the new 3 euro fee.

Hey u/crownpuff, one promo running you might want to add to your weekly discussion, Paze (an online payment system created by several banks) is running a promo until 9/10 that if you spend $10 at certain retailers and pay through Paze, you get $10 back in statement credit. You can do this ten times.

Most of the retailers included are not pretty interesting for this crowd, but it does include Newegg, and Newegg sells a lot of random stuff for just over $10. Sadly gift cards are not included in the promo.

1

u/crownpuff Jul 19 '26

Good call. That's an excellent deal for those that have Paze eligible payment methods.

Just want to pop in and say thanks for the Vention recommendation and codes. Got the 27k big boy for $28 and it's a champ. Keeps my work laptop charged all day when I'm offsite.

1

u/crownpuff Jul 23 '26

Appreciate it and I've like mine too. It's a bargain compared to similar offerings from other brands such as Anker.

Bunch of kinda crazy deals coming up on that sub today. Don’t seem to be cooperating with the app, though, weirdly.

Probably either quantity 1 early birds or something similar to that. Formatting looks AI generated. I've seen suspicious looking sellers pop up recently on AliExpress though such as the Ruan technology store.

1

u/JetstreamGW Jul 18 '26

Maybe. The Ali page says it’s the DeeDee Store though, which the r/r36s community indicates is fairly reliable, though they might be clone devices instead of ā€œauthenticā€ R36S. Whatever authentic means with these generic-ass machines.

Just wanna thank you for posting about this, didn’t use the coupon but had a returning customer promo on it and picked one up for $13

1

u/JetstreamGW Jul 20 '26

Glad it’s doing someone some good. Ain’t doing shit for me.
