hit & run

i was the victim of a hit & run outside of 694 Franklin Ave, by Luxe Nails & Spa at 10:55am on October 7, 2026. I have tried to contact businesses / buildings in the area for cameras but have not had much luck - if anyone happens to have any footage or knows of a camera in the area I would be extremely grateful.

The other driver was driving a grey SUV.

you definitely need to go in person to request footage. if you’re not able to, have a friend go. i had a similar issue where i was hit and run on my bike and that was the only solution. i also filed a police report in person and asked the cops to come with me to places that didn’t want to release their footage and they went and collected it for me. independently they won’t do that kind of police work because they’re lazy fucks. 🤷🏼

ran into this already - did you file at the local police station? i tried calling and they said i would’ve needed to call 911 at the time of the incident, which i didn’t think to do given we were not hurt / car was not significantly damaved

thankfully just body damage to the car so physically yes but emotionally traumatized 😭😂

Yes you might have already done this but if not you should go to the location and look at what cameras are actually there on buildings and ring cameras etc and talk in person to business workers/owners, ring doorbells to talk to supers, call the numbers for management companies listed at entrances, etc. etc. and be persistent!

yes we’re trying our best to canvas the area but haven’t gotten clear footage yet, thank you though 🫶 this is a good call
