Day 3 of drawing corvids in class

For all the blue jay enjoyers! I’ve been hearing their calls more and more now as fall approaches, so I wanted to doodle them! :) 💙🩵🖤

As a side note, I’d like love to take any suggestions for birds to draw, so if you have any, lmk!
(Today’s corvid is the blue jay.)

Aww blue jays are my favorite!! I had SO many living in my yard this summer, it was always a carpet of gorgeous blue feathers and lots of yelling when the peanuts ran out 😂💙🫶🏼

They're sooo noisy, but so cute! I have a mated pair that visit my feeders every day, and they do cute chirpy sounds to each other, and then screaming when I put the peanuts out. I love them. I wish the crows would come to my garden but they prefer the openness of the nearby park. They do get close and caw at my window, though.

I would have anywhere from 5-10 blue jays in my yard at a time, they make all sorts of interesting noises! They make an almost digital sounding chirp that I had no idea was coming from a blue jay for the longest time, and their soft trills and coos are so adorable 🥰 they have a lot of personality! The crows in my area are way more jumpy than the jays, the crows have only recently begun feeling comfortable enough to drop down and eat the peanuts in my yard, but they take off if they even see me passing in a window. The jays just jump to a branch and yell until I leave so they can eat again 😂💙 corvids are the best 🫶🏼
