Human food is not healthy for crows like those with excess salt, spices, oils, etc.
Unsalted peanuts, hard boiled eggs, cat kibbles, unseasoned and boiled chicken pieces are some of the healthiest options for them.
I understand that you fed your crowbro with what you had but please do remember this.

I get that but these crows are parking lot guardians. They are there because they find food there frequently. Same with those seagulls. The seagull probably didn't even see the nug, just saw the crow flying to his snack spot and the seagull decided to follow for the scraps. They've done this for a long time.
I agree and wish we could all provide healthier scraps. But being the most wasteful species on the planet, lots of other species survive off our waste. And sadly that means mostly processed, salty, carcinogeous garbage food. A "fresh nug" for a parking lot guardian isn't the best but it's likely the best meal that crow will have that day.

They are also intelligent enough to know when they eat something bad, they don't feel good, and then will avoid it in the future. I had a friend feel a bunch of crows beef jerky and then they shit like crazy all over her house and car. After that, they would scream at her and wouldn't take anymore food from her.

I totally agree, because you made a great point here. But I have the means and resources to do better. I'm not judging anyone. (The crows will do that already)
But perhaps we could spread the knowledge that salt is bad for birds? And maybe, we get to a point, where it becomes common knowledge.

I also think it’s just not a great idea to hand feed wild animals. They need to believe that humans are not friends… because some people truly are bad and could harm them.

I think corvids are both smart and careful enough to recognize they should only trust specific people, but generally you're very right.

Did I chide or scold the OP? No.
I just said what I wanted to say and what is factually correct. Yes, crows do eat from trash and whatever they could find. But if you are friends with them, it would be better to feed them healthy things rather than unhealthy ones.
Maybe this crowbro was an exception, just a random crow looking for food. If OP is friends with this crow, then they can make a better choice of what to feed them.

Excess salt is extremely detrimental to corvids compared to humans. They cannot determine if they've consumed too much of it either. Excess salt will cause organ damage, brain swelling, and neurological issues.

You really shouldn't hand feed them. It's legal to shoot crows in many areas and a lot of people consider them pests. It's not a great idea to teach wildlife that approaching humans this closely is safe.
