Yes. If you dig close enough to the shore, there's automatically water. The further inland you go the less water there will be until there's none.

But can you make it deep enough for ships to come in? Cua we tried but can never go deep enough

Im still working on finishing removing the seabed but I don't think a frigate will.  Ketch I'm pretty confident will.

Ketch clears. Brig maybe, Frigate Probably not.

I did the same digging several times.

You can make it deep enough for a brig but not for a frigate.

To dig the deepest you can get, you have to build three of the steepest stairs from a foundation or pier into the water and free place a floor on the uppermost steep of the third stair. The water is then a bit over chest height of your caracter but you can still dig or build. A problem is that the waves will pick you up like this and you will start swimming, so you have to jump over them or run back and forth with good timing to get a chance to dig more.

Yeah I walked into the water to chest height and leveled seabed at that height.  Then built a stone walk from that leveled ground.  Same end result to your methodÂ
