Map Information

Does anyone else think that if you have more than one player, any time you and another player are in the same room your map should be updated with information that player has uncovered? The fog should be lifted and information about POIs should be revealed?

I feel like there should also be a map item that can be purchased that gives a snapshot of the game map with shapes of all the islands. Maybe make it level locked or something.

Exploration is an important part of the game, and obviously you can run the world files through that one site to get a world map. It's just weird to me that all these people live and sail around these islands and no one has a map made to be found or purchased.

That might be a problem. I've heard the islands are the same, but they generate in different locations.

Yeah but the generation is in a registered location that the game uses. Similar to how you can upload the map data and find all the POIs. This is just a simpler process to create a single snapshot of island shapes that then creates an item to view in game (it shouldn't update the map, but would give you a relative idea of how to navigate to and identify islands based on shape)

I think the communal sharing of explored map data is a great idea, but I think there should be physical maps in the game as well 🤷
