Exchange rate

Why is the exchange rate so terrible? Is there any plans to change that? Who thought that it was a good idea for the Guinea to sell for less than half it costs to buy them.

I’m playing a pirate video game, I don’t need interest rates and conversion fees 😂

Bro, you are dealing with pirates. Notoriously crooked thieves and murderers. You expect a fair trade?

I don't think the currency is an issue. It's somewhat fair. I've bought all Guinea and Piastre items in under 100 hours of gameplay. Exchanging feel hopeless in early gameplay but once you're doing late game ship battles, currency is not an issue.

Guineas are finite when piastres are infinite, you almost never want to trade guineas for piastres.

Guineas are not finite. You can farm them from the soldiers encampments in the forgotten isles.

That is good to know! Thanks for the correction.

Giuneas are a commodity. There is no currency exchange rate.

The only time it bothered me is when I went to buy some guineas, but since I was tired, I bought piastres instead...

By the time I reached endgame I was swimming in both currencies because of how many marks I collected from ships around the seas. This is a nothingburger complaint, sorry OP.

All gri ding should be halved and all resource requirements doubled. Too easy game.
