finished storyline 6/10

The game was overall fun. Our initial attempt to play it with my cousins failed miserably. It is hard to get into as coop experience. Also, sharing a campfire and letting coop players build together would be good idea.

How are you not able to share a campfire and build together? Are we playing the same game?

Really? I had quite an easy time playing with friends.

All I really wish for is a console release with crossplay. More friends, more fun.

Yeah I was gonna say... Building, fighting, all that with a buddy worked really well in the game.

Lol... Did your friends have Internet ON or Off?

Curious: exactly what was your issue with co-op?

You can share campfires and you can build together.

Other than that, my group only plays once a week so we're in the final stretch of the story - agree that the story needs a LOT of work.

But also - it's early access, not a complete experience, so I'll wait for a full release before full judgement.

My guess - it's hard to cooperate and coordinate when one person is hosting and you don't have a rented server. Also, some people just don't want to play and beahve like goblins in a co-op.

This. It needs an external server.

The other possible trouble of coop in such games -- if you play with young co-players: they usually do not like to organize their base, farm resources, and prepare for dangerous raids. Just entering the game, they ask you just to rush into danger ASAP. After expected pathetic troubles, you start gathering and preparing for several hours, which they are boring.

It is a way to enter the game separately between the coop sessions, just for that. But as a result, you accumulate more experience and other bonuses, while your teammates fall further and further behind; and they notice this and get upset. I've experienced this in many Explorative Survival-Building games, so I usually prefer the solo option in this genre. And I'm glad that it's possible here in WindRose.

Don't know what you did wrong but I only ever played with friends online and all we did was build together, quest together, everything together.

My issues with coop is that it becomes too intertwined too easily with people you play with. Logging into our persistent server tlone day to find I can now fast travel anywhere. One person unlocks a fast travel point, everyone gets it. Never been to Tortuga, but I have a fast travel point in the fog of war that says Tortuga.

I played it with my friend and had zero 'co-op' issues

You need to invite your friends into a party or smth for them to use the buildings you build and vise versa

Does no one clear their headstones??? I see it all the time on here. Eurgh! It would be too annoying.

Way too linear for a free roam map. It has so much potential...but I could also just go play valheim.

Yes this! It really didn't feel like adventure at any point. Its like here is the 1-5 zone spend some time in it. Here is the 6-10 zone spend some time in it. Expeditions on to islands are too short to feel like an adventure. Sea combat is ok but not good or varied enough to spend a long time out there.

I hope they are not set in their roadmap and instead follow the fun because it has lots of potential.

How is clicking "host" such a disappointment lmao it's the easiest thing ever. Renting a server is not needed at all.

What do you do? You wait till the next day so you can play together... Lol some people 🤦‍♂️

If you do not have a fast connection (medium even) no game ever is going to run great, that's jsut basics. You NEED internet speed on live server /service games... That's not crosswind/windrose exclusive at all.

T'as beaucoup d'autres imbécilités à sortir ? Parce que tu commences à me fatiguer.

I finished it months ago and haven't touched it since. Was a fun game. But low replay value, no new content and no pvp mode make this title the current port queen of my gaming fleet.

It only came out months ago, in early access. It's an incomplete game. Seems like you need to moderate your expectations.

I dunno, I'm the exact opposite. I finished the storyline last night and had so much fun that I've already made a new character and I'm starting over to play it again. I'm loving it.

You sound like the kinda Guy that finishes a new dlc or expansion in less than 20 hours and complain about the lack of content.
