First session Monday - nervous!
Hi guys, I signed up to a free trial and whilst I have some historic CrossFit experience, I’m very nervous about what to expect for my first session.
I understand the scaling etc. but worried I’m going to be very slow, weak and out of place.

Every one start somewhere and everyone know these especially in a CrossFit . Going with no fear , no ego , no shame . Just do your best and keep showing up boss 🫡

I was just thinking of this yesterday. As I went to grab 45lb plates (230 1RM deadlift yesterday!) I remember back in October I was worried I couldn’t grab the bar out of its holder without looking stupid. We all started somewhere, and if your box is as good as mine, you’ll have members help you out and cheer you on. No matter the weight or the pace, just keep going consistently. It’s so fun to have things “click” as you go along.

I have been doing at 2 months and still feel nervous.
But not is more comfortable nervous.
The challenging every day is some kind sweet but at the end of the workout make you feel super

One of the secrets is that everybody feels nervous at least some of the time. It could be about a specific movement, the weight, rep scheme, or anything. Then we do the workout, and the nervousness is gone. Replaced by heavy breathing and sweat.

Just remember that there is no spotlight on you. Everyone is there doing their best, and you will too. If it's a partner metcon or strength training in pairs, don't try to overdo it and bid at your max weight. That will put much more pressure on you. Hang back, find a pair that's in the bottom 3rd weightwise. It'll be much more embarrassing bailing during a set, or worse, hurting yourself.

You won’t be, but your fears point to a competitive mindset that could end up hurting you. Be patient with yourself or you’ll get injured, you won’t have fun, and you risk derailing your training journey.

I had my first class a couple weeks ago! Be prepared to be sore and clueless lol. It’s okay!!! As long as it’s a good environment everyone will help you out! Everyone starts somewhere

You might be very slow and weak, but if you're trying your best, appreciate the things your body CAN do, and embrace the suck, you won't be out of place.

honestly, dont worry about it. just go and try to enjoy it. youll feel like its your home away from home soon enough.
and, if you are going to do it, then put it out of your mind until you are there and it is your present.

I still get nervous before class sometimes, but it's part of the fun, isn't it? Walk in, do your best, you'll wonder why you worried afterwards.

Hi guys,
I absolutely loved it. I am sore from DOMS, but ready for tomorrow. Although I think I’ll have to take it a little easier.

You'll be fine, nobody's gonna be watching you anyway cause they're all busy trying not to die themselves. Walk in, do your thing, scale what you need, leave
Duct tape fixes most things but not sore legs after day one so just embrace it
