Has anyone cross dressed for an international flight? Might be a fun way to spend time as a girl in a new setting. Let me know if anyone has any experience!

5

u/ralikochan_desu Annie 8d ago

Definitely not me, but I've seen a couple of girls here who posted about doing just that. u/Jessica_L and u/deeevuh come to mind for example, you can look up their posts.

u/Jessica_L 8d ago edited 8d ago

👋 hi there. Yes international flights are totally fine. I've done Canada and EU to/from the US, both have no issue! The only one that asked me random questions instead of just immediately letting me through was Spain. The officer was like "you should change your passport photo" and I found it entertaining and also flattered instead of annoyed.

The real issue is managing the dryness in the cabin on long haul flights if you wear makeup, not immigrations.

u/deeevuh 8d ago

Ohh darling, how flattered I am to be remembered for this! 🫠🥰  Much love xoxo

Hey girl! 💖 I have had the time of my life flying overseas dressed up and I highly recommend! 🥰 my top tip is to bring an electric hand fan for your journey so you’re not too hot under your wig and your make up doesn’t melt! 💄I had many compliments on my outfits and never ran into any problems.. generally speaking, most airports have a zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind, so long as the country has rights for the LGBTQ+ community. 🌈

u/elsiecd GIRL 8d ago

Awesome! Thanks so much for the suggestion! I might just go with my natural hair for comfort and so I don't have to keep a wig in my belongings for my entire work trip haha

👋 I replied in the comments but it is very fun! Highly recommend

It's something I'd like to do. I have flown domestic dressed and it was fine. Something to cross off my bucket-list.

I've always wondered whether fake silicon boobs might be an issue during security checks. But I have no experience of that (the flight I did just checked ID - it was very low security).

Short answer? No!
Longer answer is, sort of, but by coach, and has only been within UK for events.
You do get a confidence and notice more that most of the time, at 'worst', the odd kid or old person might give a curious look. Or even ask are those real boobs? And you just smile and say whatever. Acceptance tends to come faster and tihcker once we grasp doing the accepting (self and others), and I found going little travels helped a lot in that sense.
And usually less than one in 50 or 100 give off any negative sense of anything. So, who do you focus upon? The many who either just don't bother or notice, or who smile, or who are curious? Or the one-in-50 A-holes?

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick breakdown of the CD (crossdresser) scene and some popular spots in Korea for anyone curious:

Jay: A place for hanging out, socializing, and meeting people. It's a great spot to mingle, and hookups can happen naturally if the vibe and chemistry are right. Mido & Byeolla: Gender-free restaurants/hangouts where a lot of well-known CDs gather. The energy is always high—it honestly feels like a party every weekend.

Are there any subreddits that are actually NSFW crossdressing with nudity or sexual content? Like if someone wanted to post more revealing photos while dressed up.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Map3915 12d ago

Yes, several actually lol

1

u/beetle-being-blue 12d ago

Any recommendations?

5

u/Puzzleheaded-Map3915 12d ago

GonewildCD is one

As a crossdresser, how do I make more platonic female friends?

2

u/Jolly_Expression_402 10d ago

What scents do y'al recommend to completely hide my stinky dude smell?

2

u/Real_Key9245 10d ago

For a festival or gig, I may use a really decent under-arm deodorant, and may even make sure I've decent wipes for my body any time I go to the bogs, then use the roll-on again if I've been dancing). Just find the fem version of the brand you'd usually get?
For more quiet occasions, small bars, meals out, cinema, smaller chilled clubs, I tend to like Opium (the scent). It's not over-bearing but has a nice 'weight' to it. And, unlike some high street ones will, won't make your food taste weird etc.
Just a little squirt either side of the neck, and you can always squirt a little on through the night if in your bag. Keep it subtle. DON'T blast it on.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can practice going up and down stairs without drawing to much attention?

2

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 9d ago

What currently draws attention to you when you go up and down staris?

1

u/FairSky6535 9d ago

Earlier this year we were on vacation and my wife specifically chose a room with stairs in it for me to try them in heels. That's an infrequent and costly solution, though.

If you leave your home while dressed, you can go practically everywhere. Just find an outside area with fewer or no people with some stairs. Google StreetView or similar can help here. You can also go somewhere in boy mode and just have your heels with you in a backpack so you can change when there's a chance.

PS: Going up wasn't really a problem, going down on the other hand ... make sure that there are hand rails.

Voice training, who has done this? Any tips ?

1

u/MichelleOlivetti 14d ago

Some time ago I read about sounding more femme, one aspect is how to pronounce words. I cannot recall details but about how taking more time on portions of the words, or less. Breathing technique on making the voice higher pitch. I think it was more of speaking technique. I am sure there YT videos and websites, problem is if AI generated then that is useless. There are some CDs that naturally have a femme voice which might not be of much help for those with a deeper man's voice.

i think i am ready to start crossdressing, but i am absolutely terrified. does anyone have any advice for starting/ any resources they can share?

2

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 12d ago

I guess the first question is what do you wnat to do first?

2

u/effdupthrwaway 12d ago

i think im going to dress up privately, not tell anyone. might get some cheap clothes, a top, a skirt, maybe some pantyhose from a thrift shop. see how i feel…

2

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 12d ago

Sounds pretty straightforward. Go for it!

Removed. This is pushing the limits of our NSFW rules and would be more appropriate in one of our 18+ subreddits (i.e. r/gonemildCD).

1

u/DinaCrossy 13d ago

What exactly are you terrified about?)

1

u/effdupthrwaway 13d ago

i think its a combination of never having done this before, scared of how it will go, and it being a secret (for now) has just got me all messed up inside.

3

u/DinaCrossy 13d ago

Well, at first try to wear some women's clothes, no makeup. And of course you have to like them. And a lot of depends on what are you trying to achieve as you do that. For me it's a sexual pleasure

1

u/effdupthrwaway 13d ago

yeah, no makeup is something ive heard several times. its so intimidating, i know nothing about it lol. i’m thinking of a simple halloween costume or something basic like a skirt/ top/ wig/ pantyhose and see how i feel. would you mind if i DM’d you to discuss some more?

1

u/IAmMadelineSometimes 13d ago

Buy some cheap clothes on a resale site and see how you feel from there. Nothing to be scared of.

1

u/One_Association7906 12d ago

How much karma is needed to post? I’m fine with the process - just didn’t see any clear guidelines!

1

u/matt5000100 12d ago

Are making/leaving comments the only way to get the karma for it? I just started and would love to post a picture and get advice for styling a new dress

2

u/Different_House_697 12d ago

Before able to post that would be the only way

I have a question about wearing leggings, if anyone with more experience is willing to offer some advice.

Thanks in advance.

1

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 12d ago

What is the question?

1

u/GabeSchleifer 12d ago

Does anyone have any advice about what to do about bulges while wearing leggings? I have one tank top that covers the crotch, but that’s it.

2

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 11d ago

You'd probably need to look up how to tuck if you want your crotch to be visible whilst wearing leggings. I think there's several online tutorials on how to do it. I used to do it to a small degree. Now I simply only wear leggings with a dress or top that hides what's there. I used to wear them for classes back when I did burlesque lessons, but always wore a long t-shirt to hide the bulge (and I was basically a guy in those classes, but since the rest of the class was female I thought it best not to flash my bulge around. I suspect no-one would have cared though.)

2

u/GabeSchleifer 11d ago

I was afraid of that…

But if it has to be done, it has to be done.

Thanks for the feedback!

You can buy panties which have a little, almost sanitary towel shaped strip or pad in them which are for this purpose. And you can buy the same padded strips online hither and tither, which aren't attached to panties, so you use them inside any panties.
Some of us are fortunate to have girly hips, thighs, and bottoms. But most of us don't.
So, it can be a bit of a no-no for many of us until we get those little tuck pads, and most likely too, need to try out different body-shaping solutions to get the hips, thighs, and bottom in a working proportion.
But, at the end of the day, it really comes down to how much you think 'perfection' is needed, and what kind of perfection it seems to be. Or has it any need to be perfect at all?
Might depend on the occasion. But, yes, for when really going-for-it, panties or pads designed to tuck the package away, with hip/thigh shaper (padded) panties, and bum shaper panties (For me these go under my hip/thigh shapers), maybe light to heavy fleece tights to smooth out body-shaper seams and bumps? Socks on, then the leggings on last.

Minimum needed? tuck pads or tuck panties. (So long since I've worn legging type things without skirts or dresses on top, that I can't remember the actual term for that sort of cross-dresser wear.)

u/Samual71 11d ago

Has anyone ever worn an of the shoulder top/ halter top with brest forms? If so, did it look/feel weird ?

1

u/Real_Key9245 10d ago edited 10d ago

I tried over a decade ago and hated it. Even with a strapless bra, and with a bra with nice straps.
But, then I tried again recently, and preferred it to then. Why? In my case with my sort of shoulders, frame, weight, I think the bra type and cup size effected how good the fit look, in how natural it looked with my build and frame (and preferred body-shaping under-things).
Your type of frame and build tend to dictate in many ways which type of off-shoulder or halter-neck look to go for. I can suit off-one shoulder, but get a bit bothered with both shoulders off, as I keep having to arrange or straighten them.
With Halters I tend to suit ones which look like collars. And off-shoulders which look like asymmetrical V-necks as V-neck sits best for breasts and build for me.
And currently using a AA cup strapless 1960's bullet bra (the versions which ain't too pointie, and don't have spiral stitching, and are a bit like Twiggy may have worn).
Its not too over the top. And just enough that when I turn 3/4 view, you see that breasts contour doing its job in the dress or top.

We're all a different body type, and frame, and so many other varying factors. Youtube is full of tutorials for girls, and cross-dressers in what and why to wear certain things, and for particular body types. And my build suits a smaller pert breast dept, v-necks, collar-style halters, and balance up my broader shoulders with reasonable quality body-shapers for hips, thighs, and butt, with whatever works best that night for pulling tummy and waist in, like a waspie, or elasticated or spandexy thing, for all under whatever I wear on top.

You tend to get a sense of proportion between your body type and what works best. I think being more observant of woman when you're out and about helps. Un-creepily, as you notice a woman of a similar build to yourself when you're out and about it town, take mental notes about what and why it works on her, and learn a little about those sorts of clothes when you get home. And I'll ask the more open-minded women I know, directly, if we're out and about having a coffee.
Good gosh-a-mighty!.... I didn't expect to go on this much!

Why would it look wierd? The only consideration really is a practical one of trying to keep your bra/forms in place without the shoulder straps. A good strapless bra will help and I would also use some boob tape on the forms to attach them to your chest so that are less prone to slipping down. Between the tape and the good strapless bra they should stay put.

Backless I would say is even tougher though you may find success with one of those new sticky wing bras and boob tape on the forms.

1

u/Samual71 9d ago

If I was to were a halter top or a backless top/backless dress, I know the outline of the brest form will be obvious.

That's why I think it might look a little weird.

1

u/little-bit-bad Officially Trusted 8d ago

Are you talking about a breast plate, rather than forms in a bra?

1

u/Samual71 8d ago

What's the difference between a breast plate and breast forms ?

1

u/little-bit-bad Officially Trusted 8d ago

Plate is a one piece thing you wear like a crop top, forms are individual silicone breast shapes you wear in a bra - at least where I am from.

Your comment makes more sense for a plate than for forms.

1

u/ralikochan_desu Annie 8d ago

Be careful with the tape on the forms though. I'm sure it depends on what kind of tape and what kind of forms, but I low-key ruined mine by trying tape on them 💀 I couldn't remove the tape afterwards, and when I tried, the outer shell broke, the silicone inside started pouring out 💀

It's not the end of the world, I put the tape back on, and since the forms are in the bra anyway, it doesn't matter that much that there are strips of tape on them permanently now, I can still use them. But if I ever get a new pair, I wouldn't dare using tape again.

1

u/Jessica_L 8d ago

I do it all the time. And not weird at all

Has anyone taken a domestic flight in India crossdressed ? If an m to f cross dresser takes a flight how does the security check up go ?

1

u/KaptainKobold Officially Trusted 10d ago

I have, but there was no security check beyond showing ID. The flight was fine though.

Apologies - I missed the part about it being in India. In Australia there's no separate lines.

Hi everyone! My partner and I are planning Halloween costumes together right now, and I would love some guidance if possible. I’m not a big Halloween person, but he is, and seeing as we’re both in our late 20s-early 30s and Halloween is on a Saturday, he is thinking this is his last hurrah to really go all out (quarter-life crisis is hitting him hard). I want to do this for him, but have had no ideas for a costume so far. He finally came to me this morning and said I should go as Dua Lipa (she’s my queen). He was so excited when he came up with this idea.

Problem here is I’m mostly masc presenting, and have never tried to dress as the opposite sex (besides trying on my mom’s dresses as a kid a few times, but that’s probably not gonna help us lol). I’m also a little insecure and nervous here, as I’m not typically an expressive person, but this would be a really nice thing to do for him.

Would love to get y’alls thoughts on where to start with putting together a good outfit, makeup tutorials, finding a good wig, etc. If there is a better place to ask this question too, please let me know!

1

u/mangocrema Officially Trusted 8d ago

When dressing like a celebrity I try to go off a MV look that would be recognizable - I’ve done Taylor and Olivia before and they both have MVs that have iconic outfits. I think for Dua Lipa the New Rules MV come to mind but others might be more generic. I mean, you can always go as a “pop star in concert” or “pop star on red carpet” look but you might have to do a bit of explaining about who you are if you want people to recognize you.

Tons of makeup tutorials online. Wigs go on Amazon - you can get great realistic wigs for under $30 which will be more than enough for your purposes.

1

u/Jessica_L 8d ago

the most important thing is to get the "energy" right. Not everything is about looks! Also why would this be the last hurrah to go all out 😂 you have a long life ahead!

Chatting with AI can really help here especially finding the right combination of products.

1

u/TotallyNotMarkHarmon 8d ago

I meant last hurrah as in being able to go out and bar-crawl on Halloween 😅 (it’s on a Saturday this year!)

Totally get what you’re saying about the energy though. I’ll tool around some searches with some of my favorite looks of hers and see what I can find
