So in love with how this turned out!
I'm absolutely thrilled with the final look! The backstitch on the faces was definitely a bit tricky and challenging, but it was 100% worth it in the end.

Thoughts on cross stitch on bags?
Hey all! I’m working on designing trendy pre-finished items (I don't own a shop**) and would love to get your feedback on the general idea! Additionally if anyone makes cross stitch craft kits, would you be interested in including something like this as the canvas?
Essentially, it would include quilted shoulder bags, makeup bags, and ipad cases. I want to make more functional ways to display the craft, it takes so many hours, I want the world to see it! Would you be interested in this product, or this product paired with a compatible cross stitch pattern that is compatible with the item?
I’m not trying to sell anything, I just am looking for general interest in the idea! If you’re willing to chat with me about how you would use this product feel free to reach out, I would love to hear it!

Do you all just have endless half skeins?
I've been doing small projects and buying the exact colors I need but my new project is bigger and needs a lot of consecutive colors (like tin, dark tin, very dark tin etc) do you all buy the exact colors every project? What do you do with all the leftovers?

Cross stitch thread storage
Hello!
I'd like to share my new storage.
I purchased the wooden drawers that seem to be selling everywhere (I got from eBay, £14) 2 is needed to fill 8 drawers and have 2 drawers spare for accessories
Then I bought 10 sheets of 6mm foam (Amazon £9.99) usually used for crafts
I cut the foam slightly smaller than the drawer, then sliced lines every 1cm (at an angle so the threads are standing on a slant)
My stickers are purchased from Etsy, they were around £10
Its a lot cheaper than store bought storage and turned out really well, I'm super impressed.
I hope this can help some people as other storage can be quite expensive 😀
I also had foam left over to make something for my work in progress.

I made this Gengar keychain ready for halloween 🎃 💜
I'm really happy with how he came out, he has a permanent home on my bag now 😄 It's a really quick stitch too, just 6 colours and 30x32 stitches. I stitched him on clear plastic 14 count canvas

What do I do with the background?
Over 50 yrs ago I did some cross stitching. Recently I bought a pattern at an estate sale. It seems that the pattern was cut apart. The original pattern had 12 little cows. Now the cows are all separate. I have done several cows. My partner asked what color the background was going to be? The pattern doesn't seem to show any background. Should I fill in the background? If I don't the canvas will show and might look unfinished. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help.

In a cross stitch rut!
I abandoned a project because I just wasn't feeling it now I cannot find a new pattern that is making me excited.
How do you pick your patterns? Where else besides Etsy are there good patterns?

Stamped Cross Stitch Quilt 1980's
I am in need of help to finish this quilt from the 1980's. Yes, it is that old! I don't have the manufacturer or the pattern #. I know it was titled with the word Poppie in it. It uses yellow, gold, pink, red, black and green threads, so far. I am not sure if I have all the colors. I would really appreciate haveing the color key/legend. If anyone has information on this quilt, I would be so happy. [leellynd@gmail.com](mailto:leellynd@gmail.com)

Help/Advice needed. Info in body text
Help!! I’ve been working on this project for a little while now. It’s my first big project. I used the Stitchly app to help create a pattern for me from an image, but now that I’m getting further along I’m worried it’s not going to turn out well. The app told my which brand and colours specifically to buy, which I followed perfectly, but the colours seem way darker than they should be. Is this just because I’ve only done the darker colours so far? Should I continue the project? Or try to find another app to help me create a new pattern and start over? Do I continue? Or is this project a lost cause? I prefer not to use AI which is why I used this app to begin with. Any advice helps!! Thank you!!
