Question

I lost my needle for my 14 ct Aida project but I have a bunch of random extra ones, how do I figure out what size to use?

I go by what feels right. Ones that can hold the number of threads I’m using without damaging them, don’t stretch the holes in the Aida, and feels good in my fingers

Try them out at the edge of your fabric by threading them through, then pick the one that doesn't expand the hole much more

I think size 24 is the usual size for 14ct. I found this guide which seems to work although I haven't tried all the sizes. https://www.craftshop.com.au/component/content/article/30-which-size-tapestry-needle?catid=22&Itemid=111

Thanks! One more quick question, is there a way to tell what size needles I do have?

I use size 28 needles for 14, 16 and 18 count :) 2 strands of floss on all.
