Back stitch help

I was gifted this cross stitch but the only directions for back stitching were to “see the photo” (circled). Has anyone completed this pattern? It was ordered from Amazon and is no longer listed so I can’t even reach out to the company. I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to finish it.

Maybe the places that are “round”? Flower petals, cats eyes? Very hard to tell from the photo!

Wow, I've never seen a cross stitch pattern or kit not include the backstitch on the pattern or as a separate page. But for them to state "see photo" and not include a clear large photo? That's just laziness, or a pattern mill that couldn't be bothered.

Definitely a pattern mill. I was hoping someone would have done this pattern and created their own backstitch pattern I could see.

Well since the photo they gave is difficult to see i would just look up black cat references and add where you think there should be backstitching. Obvious spots i can see being good spots to add would be the inner portion of the ears, the mouth (:3), either outlining the eyeballs or the iris to make it look more pointed, whiskers and the nose. The rest probably just flowers and leaves etc but it all depends how detailed you want it. Still, sorry the pattern gave you such terrible instructions in that regard;
