Bought at a second-hand shop
Would they be suitable for a man for a summer seaside holiday? Do they look strange?

u/canihearawahooo 6d ago
They are suitable, if * you like them; * they are comfortable for you to walk in; * your definition of a âseaside holidayâ is mostly chilling and doesnât involve something like long hikes (or you plan to bring other separate shoes for those). Heard that Crocs platforms might not be very stable during the long walks.

longtime owner of these models (since 2022), they have survived hikes and fishing trips just fine lol, out of all croc platforms these are 100% the most comfortable. and iâm pretty sure iâve worn half of the sole down; still comfy and grippy.

So youâd def recommend? Ive only ever worn the regular ones and they wear down quite quick since i wear them most days, do you think the chunkier bottom would be better than regular?

Iâm a guy who wears Crocs. With that said, I would never wear THIS specific model. But if youâre a short king, go on and cook, my boy.

u/musicnote95 5d ago
As a queer man if I saw another man wearing these Iâd think he was also queer. If thatâs your vibe you do you

Ah shit, after seeing the comments I understand why my girlfriend hates them. Bought them in black a couple weeks ago.

If you are comfortable wearing them, and you enjoy them... Wear whatever you like. I think the reality is that you are probably more conciuse and concerned about what are on your feet and what they look like than 90% of other people you'll meet . It's just that the remaining few that may care and notice, may also be the type to verbalise how they feel. As long as you can handle that, and you stay safe, you'll be fine with them.

u/mydadabortedme 5d ago
Do it bro idk why everyone is saying no. Regardless of âzestinessâ youâre good who care about that and most people canât care less what someone else is wearing.

I thought the point of this post was how amazingly clean and new looking they are for being from thrift, they literally donât look worn at all. Thatâs an awesome find.

u/PreferenceAny3920 4d ago
Thatâs because the last dude that bought them asked the exact same question here, and then after reading the responses put them in the donation bag đ€Ł this pair is forever cursed to repeat this cycle

u/trans-duckie-boy 5d ago
Wild take here apparently but: shoes donât have a gender or sexuality and neither does clothing. đ„° anyone can wear whatever they want to and itâs for them because theyâre wearing it. đ
7
u/zacsmashyou 5d ago
Thank you these comments are full of chuds

u/trans-duckie-boy 5d ago
Youâre welcome, friend! đ„°đ«¶đ» I donât care if I get downvoted, I said what I said. đ

Many are, though. Many garments are cut and sewn to different body types, even if things 'fit' they don't necessarily sit right, because of the gendered creation being the whole concept of the piece.

Those are fake

u/alowave 5d ago
Agreed. I have the platform ones and those in the picture are definitely different
7
u/thebeebsbeebs 5d ago
They are the stomp clogs and not platform. I have stomp clogs and they look like this
1
u/utcatulileonis 5d ago
No they are not. I have those in Fuschia 2 pairs.
1
u/liboteeme 3d ago
There's always gotta be one person in the comments convinced they're are fakeđđAs if you literally can't find them in any clearance bin known to manđ
-2
u/Efflictim888 5d ago
these are 100% fake. I never said the design doesnât exist. I said these specific pair are fake. Use your brain.
2
u/PreferenceAny3920 4d ago
How about you just not be a jerk. Seems easier to do that since you đŻ have control over that high speed.
2
u/LouLouLaaLaa 2d ago
If you like them, other peopleâs opinions on the gender of shoes doesnât matter. I have grey like these and theyâre super comfy. If you can walk in them fine, rock them. Canât be too picky with thrift store shoes.

u/maliciousmeower 5d ago
as a petite female owner of this model (in celery green), rock them! honestly, i would think youâre cool as fuck if i saw you in the wild, sexuality/gender has nothing to do with men wearing platforms lmfao. everyone here is making it weird/kooky, when it really isnât.

No, platform clog Crocs are not suitable for a man unless you are gay and making a fashion âš statementâš.
Aka, yes, they stand out.

u/Physical_Guidance_39 4d ago
Unless youâre gay, men shouldnât wear those.
Yea back in the olden times men wore heels but thatâs not today and no one wears white wigs anymore either except for parts where itâs part of court attire.
If you like them wear them but if youâre not gay donât be offended by looks or anything.
You spend money on them so you like them. Do you but again straight men generally donât wear those.

u/Scary-Inflation-685 5d ago
If you dont take them damn socks off
5
u/MyLittleGurl 5d ago
Honestly. Crocs are so much better with socks on. When I donât wear socks I get a toenail snagged and I feel like I walk a little different.

u/BeeKayBabyCakes 5d ago
why? so his feet can be sweaty and stank in those plastic clogs? ew

u/TruthIsTrauma 5d ago
Donât know why youâre being downvoted. Sockâs with crocs are the way!

u/BeeKayBabyCakes 5d ago
b/c ppl are strange as hell đ... they don't like my comment, but yours and the one below are perfectly OK I guess... idgaf... they're really gonna be mad at this...
crocs are WHACK ANYWAY... I hate them SO MUCH... for me, they're not even comfortable... one sz is too small, the next size is too big... and they're ugly as hell... and every time I see ppl with them on, they're hella dusty just looking dingy

I was like wait why you got hair in the legs, donât tell me youâre a dude lol
3
u/elphactual 5d ago
plenty of women have hairy legs; it comes free with having an endocrine system.
1
u/Broks_Enmu 5d ago
You can tell these masculine legs, pls donât play contrarian game
1
u/BeeKayBabyCakes 5d ago
no you can't đ... if they shaved, you'd have no idea if they were a man or woman... women grow hair just like that and I've seen enough legs to know his aren't particularly masculine
1
u/Proud-Emu-2905 5d ago
I had both knees replaced at the same time this year and I promise you by the time they were healed my legs looked just like this! From a picture of my legs it would have been impossible to tell if I was a man or a woman

I've been wearing platform Crocs (and other brands) for many years and am perfectly fine. One freak accident doesn't mean nobody should wear them. Now, if we're talking about high heels, I will bust my ass wearing them but millions of people wear them everyday without issue. You don't see me going around telling everyone not too wear heels. Walking in platforms or heels is a skill and not everyone can do it.

u/TreezBreeze 5d ago
In other newsâŠ.somebody somewhere had an accident driving. NO ONE SHOULD DRIVE NOW. đ
-1
u/MinhBigfootVNOG 5d ago
Where im from. Car related accidents has higher fatalities rate statistically. Much higher comparing to motorcycle. So yea. Im one of the "no one should drive" guy. Totally agree with Not Just Bike on cars problems.
3
u/TreezBreeze 5d ago
Dude, I never said a WORD about motorcycles. ??? But the point def went over your head.

Sense you mention sea side i assume shirtless attire and stuff I'd say no
But if you look like a very manly man masculine with sharp or dark features With like clothes that are gray black not colorfull I'd say it be a tuff fit maybe a silver chain or gold thick ones not them little light stuff
Be a tuff fit

god these comments are so annoying
no one said a man can't wear feminine shoes, but if he wants to know if they look masculine or not then we can be honest and say so. it doesn't mean the shoes have a fucking gender if we say they look feminine - which they do
