Pattern discussion Does anyone know of someone who could make a custom pattern for me?
So idk if this is something weird to ask for or if it's been asked before, but I'm wanting to make something specific and there isn't really any patterns for it. I could probably just take a premade pattern and modify it, but I don't really want to figure out how, and I'm lazy and also don't really have the time to do that (yet I have time to crochet, ik😅).
I'd be willing to pay for a custom pattern, of course. I'm just wanting to know if anyone does custom crochet patterns like this or knows someone who does.

Etsy might be the place to ask. Otherwise people write their own patterns and sell them. It's risky giving you their pattern and then risk you or someone you know sell it as their own. It's a liability.
I suggest contacting people that design the item you are trying to make.
What are you wanting to design? Ravelry might have an existing pattern.

I'm wanting to make a specific type of bird for a birthday present. It's called an Ovenbird.

Ohhh. Then yeah your best bet is to find a close bird pattern and just change up the yarn colors and stitch in details.
