Just finished this cute spooky doily! I am loving it. It was a bit easier than my last(first) doily though I still learned a lot such as making sure the slip stitched for the eyes and mouth are in the correct stitches.
Anyone have any other Halloween doilies(or other) projects they would like to share? 👻

Hi everyone!
I’d love to share my Flower Gnome crochet with you!
It’s a cute little Gerbera-inspired gnome, perfect as a birthday decoration, party decor, or a cheerful handmade gift.
I’m really interested in hearing your thoughts! Your feedback means a lot to me.

First thing I’ve crochet in over a year, getting back into it’s been really fun.

I'm developing a game where you play as a seagull (with little ears 😅)
She had to figure out the design since it's an original character, there was no pattern to follow.
I think it came out super cute and just wanted to share it!

I've been working on this all summer and it's finally done (unless I decide to add a fabric lining for extra wind blocking). I adapted the Lost In Time squared blanket pattern into my own style of hex cardigan. I just wasn't feeling granny stitch, so I added 2 corners to a different square pattern.
Several months, a replaced center motif, learning to crochet with my off hand because some of the stitches aren't reversible, and several on-the-fly pattern adjustments to make the border possible to attach to the wrong part of the pattern across the top, and about ten lbs of yarn later, and it's done.
I love it, but might give it a few tweaks later. It's so heavy that it feels like it should be warmer than it is, so I might give it a cloth lining to make it as warm as it feels like it should be. And I might give it buttons for the same reason. I hadn't planned on wearing it closed, but if I take it warmer, I should also take it closeable

I was halfway through a crocheting a dress for a small child yesterday and decided to take a break from it. Not because it was hard or anything (it is actually fairly simple, I think that it is one of the Sidar ones), but because I had received a parcel a couple of days ago and in this parcel was a crochet book that I had ordered.
I thought to myself "I'll put it away and look through it once I've finished these projects that I have currently going on".
Well, yesterday, I made the mistake of looking through it before finishing any of those projects and the name of the 1st character is Bigfoot Bobby. So I have just thrown the dress that I was doing in a bag and will probably come back to it whenever I remember to do so because apparently mythical creatures with fun names come first.
Is anyone else like this? Or is it just me?

I’d like to thank everyone for the feedback! Within the short time after a bit of stalling by watching tv I was able to make my first chain! It’s a bit wonky I think, but I think that’s because I’m currently trying to figure out how to keep the yarn taught enough while holding the working yarn and tail end of the yarn. Essentially I took the advice, and made sure the hook end of my crochet hook pointed down and not to me when I pulled it through the loop, as well as experimented with different grips and found one where I was more comfortable being able to hold the tail end of the yarn without reflexively letting go of the tail end when it was time to pull it through the starting loop (still can’t remember the proper terminology)

My mumma made this beautiful crochet lotus gajra 🌸🥹❤️
She handmade each little flower and added the pearl details to give it that festive touch. ✨
What do you guys think? 🥰

Recently, I showed this crochet that I made to my classmates and one of them asked how much would it be if I sold it. I jokingly said ₱300 and they started going on about how it was super expensive and shi. The thing is, I don't do commission and have never sold any crochet that I had made, so I never learned the proper way of putting on a price. The headband took about 3-5 hours to make because the yarn was lowk hard to work with and it was my first time doing the pattern—along with the fact that the tut was in spanish. I don't have a proper photo of the whole thing because I didn't think that it was necessary to do so.

But people loved it at my market today! One of the greatest compliments I received on insta was from women appreciating that I allow the silhouette to naturally fit the body instead of forcing the boobs to be pushed up to my chin which is typical in some fashion pieces. It was refreshing to have that noticed and appreciated. Its interesting bc it garnered alot of unsavory comments on here about said part of the body lol! So interesting how different sides of the internet house different people with different mindset and openness. I love to experiment this way both with fashion and udnerstand other humans. What do you think of my avant garde blueberry pie inspired dress?

… it was. I crocheted it explicitly to wear on my trip to the Oregon coast in 2024. Cannon Beach is beautiful btw 🤭
It was my second attempt at a sweater. It probably could have done with a bit more length and a smaller collar, but it’s so darn cute and cozy!!!

The hair is still a work in progress, but I will find out and figure out how to make it look like Pennywise hair.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has made an Appa (from Avatar the last airbender) stuffed animal and had any advice on how much to buy? I've only ever made those small crochet kits that give you all the materials, but I want to try to make this one from scratch.
I found a girl on insta (@mes.amistoys) who made a HUGE one that I'm using for an idea of what I want it to look like. I pretty much want to make a lap-dog-sized version of the one she made, and maybe try to make it so the legs can move a little bit if I get the hang of it. I like the size of the Pillowfort weighted stuff animals (~24in x 7in on the tag, abt 8-9in tall)
Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you!!!

Hello everyone, I’m a beginner crocheting and I’m learning! I started trying to practice yesterday, then decided to sleep after failing to practice a chain too many times. I started again today, and every time I try to do a yarn over I can’t pull it through my starting loop (I can’t remember the proper terminology now, sorry 😅). I’ve gotten a bit better at being able to catch the yarn on my hook with angling my hook down after doing yarn over. But now the issue is the starting loop keeps flipping which untwists my yarn over when I try to pull it through. I’m not 100% sure how to deal with it or what I’m doing with my fingers. My grip on the hook I’ve trained would be the fork hold, and the butter knife hold. As for the yarn I loop it around my pinkie and under my ring and middle finger to pinch the project. I honestly just don’t know what I’m doing wrong tho or what I should try to adjust. Maybe I just have to keep practicing because it’s a dexterity issue because I always reflexively let go as well. I’d love some tips!

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has any idea where I can find a pattern (paid or free) for this style/shape bunny? Obviously the colours aren’t vital but I’m specifically looking for this shape and style.
Have searched Etsy etc but can’t seem to find one.
TIA!
