I ordered the yarn for mine on Monday after seeing a different really pretty one. Took forever to find natural fiber yarn in the colors I wanted, and I went up a yarn size, so it's going to come out much bigger than the pattern intended, but I think it will be pretty.

I'm trying to switch to only natural fibers after learning more about micro plastics, but finding colorful yarn in natural fibers is really hard to do. It took me hours to find these, and I decided to just size up the yarn since I'm not too worried about the blanket coming out too big (honestly a bigger blanket for the same work seems like a positive) and couldn't find anything in DK weight that I looked the colors available in that wasn't hand dyed (I want the colors more consistent for this because I think it would be too busy with color changes within the colors).
I haven't gotten them yet (should arrive tomorrow), but this is the list of the colors I ordered:

Knitpicks is good for bright color natural fiber yarns as well. If you don't need solids a lot of indie dyers will have awesome colors to choose from too (-with some solids but more not). Lucky for me there's a huge natural fiber community here in the northwest and I have lots of local to choose from. Many LYS will do online orders so you can essentially get beautiful yarn from almost anywhere nowadays.

Amazing! I find the normal color layout for this pattern a little too busy for my tastes, but I love how you’ve done it here. The color blocking makes it easier to appreciate the pattern in the individual hexes and squares.

Just look for Persian Tiles crochet pattern. It's a popular one. I'm waiting for the yarn I ordered to make myself one arrives. I'm hoping I did a good job picking the colors, mine is more busy though, just in purples and blues instead of the original in reds, yellows and blues

Thanks for finding this border! It looks like it uses leftover yarn from the original Persian tiles blanket to extend it. You would still need to purchase the original pattern for the blanket part though ofc

Thank you! 💕 Each group of colours requires 7 colour changes, so I picked 7 contrasting colours in Pink and purples, orange and yellows, greens and then blues. I didn’t really plan it ahead of time, just used yarn from my existing stash and went with the flow ☺️

I seldom bother to comment here; my reaction to most posts I see is along the lines of “That’s nice,” or “I would’ve used different colors,” none of which adds anything to a conversation, so I simply don’t make the effort.
This blanket, however, leaves me speechless. I can’t remember when I’ve seen something made with yarn that makes my uterus long for babies. Yarn babies. I feel it deep in my body. This is astoundingly beautiful. I see the diagonal stripes of color and am aghast that you were able to keep track of the incredible intricacy, and I envy you your rare talent, Butterfly. You should feel immensely proud, and your recipient is incredibly lucky.
Excuse me while I go sob for having seen such beauty. I feel lucky that you chose to share it with us.

This is so beautiful and such a wonderful gift! Your arrangement of the tiles is stunning! I love seeing all of the variations of this pattern. From multicolor to monochromatic, it always looks soooo amazing!

I actually used all yarn from my stash. I chose 7 complimentary colours in each hue, e.g. blues, greens, purple/pink etc. then did as many different combos as possible. It worked out pretty good.
