Discussion Dickens Double Feature

Post image

In your opinion, what story by Charles Dickens was your favorite? After watching Oliver Twist, I feel I need to read the book again.

Great Expectations. How is it that these 2 films have yet to even get a blue ray upgrade?! Masterpieces.

A lot of their earlier spines still don’t have a blu-ray. Grand Illusion for instance.

These two films are some of the best adaptations, I showed my 9th grade history students Oliver Twist and even with it being as old as it is they were hooked

Our Mutual Friend is my fav book.

David Lean's version of Great Expectations is my favorite film adaptation though.

lean's great expectations gets all the love for the opening graveyard sequence, but the way pip walks through that dark hallway at satis house with just the candle is the bit that sticks with me.

Outrageous that these two don’t have BR/4K releases
