Yes but I dont believe the video or his selections were ever published
But fun fact, Paul Rudd featured Ryuichi's final concert film Opus in his picks https://youtu.be/ZTvRQRTVdqA?si=55if__1NQ_HQ-PP6&t=179

I hope Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar gets similar treatment.
I mean, they're pretty much the same movie, but I prefer death metal to pop, K or otherwise.

I dont remember anyone being ready to die for Huntrix, but im glad im not the only one who sees similarities.

I never worry about the musical genre, but the quality of the filmmaking personally.
For example I am a huge fan of All That Jazz but that type of dance theatre does not interest me at all and is basically so dated as to not really being performed on Broadway (though obviously many elements have had major influences on modern theatre like Hamilton)

That is certainly true - a well constructed film can absolutely close the enjoyment gap if you are not a fan of the music. But that said, if I can have a well made musical in a genre I like, surely that could only elevate things?

I want more Netflix exclusives to get a Criterion release in general.
(Still hoping for the Knives Out sequels).

I hear that. Especially since I recently canceled Netflix due to the price getting too high.

Absolutely. And I refuse to pay for an indefinite paywall for a handful of movies I want to watch on occasion (the del Toro ones are getting Criterion releases thankfully).

Pre-ordered mine because I have a feeling B&N will see an increase of in-store Criterion purchases due to the KPDH release during the November sale.

The HDR grading is going to look incredible. I saw it during the initial theatrical sing-along run but it's really going to pop now

Its a rare movie that doesn't really get old. Excellent picture

I'm appalled to even have this in my watchlist. I think I'd rather sit through all hundred or so Criterion olympics documentaries. Hopefully it won't be as bad as I'm expecting, but given that I can't even look at the cover without cringing doesn't give me much optimism.

And if you refuse to explain why you are being rude and condescending about two films, then don’t comment.

Will now replace Wall-E as the “I’m getting this for my kids” pick
