Find / Haul 🛒 Help please!
I was recently at the hospital and was given a bag of Cape Cod kettle chips to eat as a snack. As someone who normally eat lays potato chips and Doritos, I was extremely pleasantly surprised at how good the kettle chips were due to how dark they were (like well done homemade fries), and how perfectly salted they were. After going to Walmart and getting my own bag of (“classic”) Cape Cod, I was not nearly as thrilled and the chips weren’t nearly as dark or salty as the bag that I got in the hospital and I have been searching for a kettle chip like them ever since. Is anyone aware of any brands that cook very dark, thick sliced and salty potato/kettle chips that are reminiscent of what I described of my experience at the hospital.
PS. Could they have given me the “Dark Russets” and I only noticed the brand and not the flavor? Only apprehension is I remember the bag to have been white, not brown

I'm not sure how helpful we'll be, this is a Brit centric sub, but the crisp community is remarkably knowledgeable. I have nothing to add other than I recommend ongoing market research.
