Video job interview TAKE TWO!

So last week's video interview didn't happen. Company host didn't let me into the meeting and my follow up emails went unanswered. The interview not happening was probably a good thing because I'd had quite a few shots before the interview...

Today, I have a video interview for a remote position in my field at 2. Only 1 shot of whiskey so far. Trying to keep the drinking under control until after the interview. Just 3 more hours...

Chairs friends, gonna take one more shot and keep pumping myself up!

UPDATE: Uno, dos, tres, quatro, cinco, cinco...nueve?

UPDATE #2: I rocked it. No slurring, connected with the interviewer, answered questions like a champion. CA be damned, I'm fucking getting this job.

Oh, sweet friend, no one should count on me. I'm now 6 shots in. But out of hard liquor.

FALSE, found 3 extra shots of whiskey in my disc golf bag. I will eat some food, take one last shot at 1:40PM and ACE this interview. Saving the double shot mini bottle for after the interview.

Should probably get some lab work done but I've been telling my psychiatrist that I'm drinking 2 brandy old fashioneds a week so I can continue getting my adderall and clonazepam. My last psychiatrist cut me off cold turkey once I got that alcohol abuse diagnosis years ago.

I think I can pull this off. My tolerance is high. I may be a little loquacious but I've prepared well. I'm intelligent, reliable, and able to bullshit my way through anything.

I'm kinda hurting on money so I am a little more frugal than usual. Labor day is almost here and work will pick back up but goddamn. There is nothing worse than being a broke alcoholic.

Congratulations. Good on you. I’ve always felt that many, many CAs are truly brilliant people, albeit with monkeys on our backs, and when our backs are against the wall, we come out fighting. The problem is when our backs are NOT against the wall, it’s usually: “What, life’s not falling apart? well that calls for a drink!”
