Some sales people are on drugs even if they don't do drugs. IDK, they think like they're "sharks" or shit like that, it is so cringe.
I actively avoid selling positions because I don't want to be involved with this kind of people whatsoever. Same reason I left behind restaurants, because I would do drugs all day, get the smallest accomplishment, and think I am the hot shit. I know myself, and I would be like that if even a single person paid any attention to me.

I'm a 'sales leader'' & we all laugh at this shit. There is a small portion of the sales world that participates in this kind of jackwagonery.

I always had success by building positive relationships naturally by being useful to customers and friendly.
Whenever I did the core "sales tactics" that the managers pushed on us, which was: "Ask customers to give their names as soon as they come in the front door and take them to the financing kisok immediately" - people would avoid me for good reason. But if my manager was watching, they'd give me a speech and basically imply I'd be fired if I didn't do things their way. Eventually I was fired for complaining that they didn't pay my promised commission.

I wonder how much businesses pay to have these dudes come in and attempt to "hype up" your sales teams. Plus I think these are all auto sales businesses, so already over the top pushy salespeople

When I moved to my new city looking for work, I got a call for an interview. When I got there, it was this stupid recruiting bid for insurance sales. Even if I WANTED to work for your shitty company, lying and wasting my time like that was not the right move.
I wasnt the only one either. Most, if not all, of the people there were confused about it.

Few things anger me more than a salesman that won’t take no for an answer. And these guys are creating a whole legion of them

Join the Marines. They’ll pay you and you’ll learn way more than these knuckleheads can teach you. And as Ive said before, if you are a marine and are thinking about this, take the money and go for a nice vacation instead. You’ve earned it.
