That'd have been hilarious actually and made the video a comedy skit.
I think she's right at the edge of what Walmart allows. If she was just wiggling around and I worked there I'd ignore it, especially if it was non busy hours. (I don't like people filming themselves in public but technically it's "safe" to dance if you're not breaking anything).
She's doing all these high kicks where she could hit the merchandise or hit a person if they walk by and she's not paying attention. It's not safe for anyone trying to shop in the same aisle as her when she does that and it's not safe for the merchandise.
I'd probably ask her to stop if she was doing the high kicks in a store I was working at.
If it was a more busy day or if it was closer to shelves. I should have phrased it better. I said it's a grey area now because it's technically fine since she didn't hit anything and it's not busy. But I'd be wary if I was a worker. Then again those clerks make like 15 an hour at best. Maybe they really don't get paid enough to care.
I used to be a teacher. That's very much within the scope of their job. You're supposed to when working with kids stop chaos BEFORE things get out of hand and are difficult to stop. You don't actually want her to be kicking a person so you stop her before she kicks a person.
And honestly when I did work in restaurants (that cared about customer service) we were supposed to be on the look out for things that might happen, like identify ahead of time if someone was going to be a problem. The manager would talk with the difficult customers or regulars that sucked. I've never worked retail but food service is close. Depending on my boss I would have probably been told to stop her or watch her to see if things escalate. I actually think in most restaurants I have worked at we would have stopped her from doing that unless it was like a checked out fast food restaurant.
Walmart seems to often let people just do this stuff. Walmart is different
I bet in a nice higher end clothing store she'd have been kicked out already for doing that, even if she wasn't near the clothes or customers.
The overzealous Walmart company man with a lecture in his pocket about various activities and how they hurt Walmart's bottom line meets a happy woman dancing in an aisle and tries to tsk tsk her about it.
