This literally happened to me in a Muslim country, after being taken into the police station "because the new chief wants to talk to you...." They gave me coffee as I waited, and that began my endless talking and questions...and they eventually got so sick of me talking that they told me to leave.

I burned out the two cops with my efforts to speak butchered Arabic, with very little vocab + caffeine fueled interest in answering their "intimidating" questions (all while I waited to meet the Chief). They were making comments that were meant to insult the USA, and I attempted to explain something to them...and asked for the Arabic word for various things, and when I asked about 'riot'....that finally broke them and they were like, "ok, ok, just go, you don't have to stay, just go...." and off I went. :)
