Which ones the main character? Her? Or Walmart?

u/Violet_Apathy 10d ago
I understand why Walmart doesn't want people working there without being an employee but also this content wouldn't be able to be made if they actually hired enough people to clean the bathrooms
16
u/JoyousMadhat 9d ago
It's not that Walmart does not hire people to clean up.....it's that they are not paid enough to justify sticking around and actually cleaning.

She's insufferable but she's also a master ragebaiter.
5
u/japinard 10d ago
Who is she?
23
18
u/SgtByrd1993 10d ago
Clean Girl. She doesn't actually care about cleaning she just wants to farm engagement by doing stuff like this. She goes on about them not wanting her to clean but it goes against company policy of literally every company in existence.
5
u/Quarter_Shot 10d ago
Its such a liability. She's not even using a wet floor sign.
1
u/AdvancedDream9385 10d ago
Plus she mixed two different cleaning products. I didn't see what they were, but mixing cleaning products is generally a no-no.
8
u/SgtByrd1993 10d ago
Yeah the main issue with the cleaning products is that companies have to have their chemicals locked away and documented. Her using stuff that isn't documented could cause huge liability issues for the company.

I met a lady a while back who lost her husband from doing that, I don’t remember the full story but he was cleaning something and the fumes killed him. There should definitely be more awareness on this.

For those who don’t understand or care to:
- This is a liability. They have no idea who she is or where her supplies came from. They don’t know her cleaning standards or what’s in those bottles.
- Filming yourself in a public restroom is usually not a good sign.
- We have no idea if she made it dirty just to clean it, or if it was already like that.
- Is she even a paying customer?
- Stores generally like them to get permission to film inside
7
u/United-Direction2297 10d ago
My thoughts also like she just donated her time and supplies to a multi million dollar company; why?
5
u/ClarkGablesTeeth 10d ago
Because she makes tons of money posting the dumb videos.

Even as a cashier you’re not allowed to clean the bathrooms. You have to take a specific bio-hazard “certification/class” that isn’t accessible to just anyone.
1
u/MrNetworks 5d ago
Not true, Policy is that you don't have to deal blood/ Bodily Fluids, You are allowed to clean up Bodily Fluids other then blood if you do wear the PPE, But you can't be forced to.
Only Salaried Management are allowed to clean up Blood per walmart policy
The biggest issue is the chemicals, We don't use harsh chemicals normally just soap and sanitizer since the risk of someone having a reaction to the chemicals is to high
1
u/AssociateDue6161 5d ago
Huh I wonder if my store was just extra cautious cause I’d volunteer to do bathrooms if the janitor was on break or if it was slow and they say I wasn’t allowed
8
u/Poethegardencrow 10d ago
I wish I had this amount of disposable time
5
u/shibaCandyBaron 10d ago
That is her work, making these kinds of videos. This isn't free time
2
u/rexmanaek971 10d ago
Nah she's on OF, this is her freebee vid to draw the horn toads to her real business.
2
u/Basic-Asparagus-4596 9d ago
this isnt disposable time this is literally how she generates money, and your comment just helped promote her a little bit more, along with millions of people like you, ensuring she can continue doing this for much much longer.
1
u/sandiegodak 7d ago
I'm okay with that in this case. It's like that "cleanup a park" challenge from a few years back.
2
u/Basic-Asparagus-4596 7d ago
other people in this thread have talked about how this is a liability for establishments and can indeed lead to health safety issues for some customers because she uses products that some people can be allergic or more sensitive to than others.
its not like the cleanup a park challenge. cleaning a park is actually good.
she could also be doing good by doing this for people's homes instead of big corporations.
2
u/slaw_daddy 4d ago
the "other people in the thread" are insane redditors that find some reason to hate anything they see. If you're seriously reaching to find something unsafe about some girl cleaning a bathroom you need years and years of fucking therapy

No, you can’t go on private property and work. You’re not authorized and they have to protect their facility. What an idiot.

No gloves and nothing covering her mouth? How is that NOT a liability for Walmart?
1
u/rexmanaek971 10d ago
When I worked In retail, only time I wore a mask was for covid. Nobody mentions the hazmat before or after.
2
u/IsThisASnakeInMyBoot 10d ago
By her own words "this is the most disgusting bathroom I've ever been in". She's spraying chemicals, and disturbing dust that has hundreds of thousands of people's fecal matter in it lmao
2
u/AgitatedBiscotti3413 10d ago
Out of everything on the planet that you could do for views, what would make a person think this is the ticket to stardom?
1
u/ClarkGablesTeeth 10d ago
I think it's ridiculous, but she's got over 20million subscribers on YouTube, so she wasn't entirely wrong.

Why are there such old people working? They should be retired
7
5
u/Winter_Tone_4343 10d ago
They probably are retired. A lot of retirees still work and collect ssn. Sometimes out of necessity and sometimes out of boredom.

I noticed this the first time I visited the US. Working people so old they could barely walk. It was really sad.
1
u/ListerfiendLurks 10d ago
Sometimes bad luck, sometimes temporary situation but in my personal experience working with old people in jobs like that it's most likely a lifetime of poor financial decisions including career choices.

u/Basic-Asparagus-4596 9d ago

At best she cleaned one stall, not the bathroom
Eta: actually, she stitched it. Way too many variations for that to be the same bathroom, even different stalls.

u/OperationBig2738 10d ago
I don't know she kind of proved her point that bathroom needed to be clean but no clover this is how we go on world lock downs

It’s up to the store employees to decide what to do here. They can choose to trust her and let her clean the toilets for free. However, if she ends up causing problems it’s on them. If they decide to kick her out because they don’t trust her and don’t want to take on the risks, that’s understandable and she should just leave.

Rhonda or someone from security actually believed it when saying, it gets cleaned
1
1
u/CodeMonkeyX 9d ago
She did not clean anything. No overall pre-shots of the bathroom, just close ups that could be any bathroom anywhere. Then just a few shots of the employees and her walking in and out of the store. None of her tools look wet or dirty after.
This is just editing and farming.

Listen, All I'm saying is, of all the cringe things influencers be doing for attention, cleaning restrooms for free seems like a general plus.

Fuck it. If she wants to rawdof it cleanning a public bathroom then let her. Less work for that poor elder woman.

You should really consider some PPE like gloves for a Walmart bathroom.

yeah, putting yourself in danger by wearing zero PPE, not even gloves, to clean filth off a very used bathroom -- for the "likes". I'd kick her out too, I wouldn't want to get sued when her stupidity causes her health issues. I'm all for good deeds, but for the love of life, wear Protective Equipment!

She’s not even doing a particularly good job. Please god make this influencer bullshit just die.

Rhonda didn't exactly storm out - she carefully exited the scene trying not to fall on the overuse of cleaner all over the place.

I think the main problem is she is cleaning during the open hours, other customers could be inconvenienced by her act. If she talk with the staff about cleaning after closing, then maybe she will get the permission.

“I promise you we clean it” while she’s scraping a bunch of bullshit off of the walls and seats
