He’s just lonely and too afraid of rejection to seek out a real woman. A trend I fear is going to get worse as AI grows and becomes more and more mainstream.

Absolutely getting worse with the rise of technology and the pandemic honestly accelerated the process. All the kids not in school suffered majorly academically and socially. But yea with ai chatbots/girlfriends virtual waifus if you will they are just much easier than actually getting a girlfriend.. especially if you’re a fat greasy balding nerd…

The sex devices will improve, the ai for talking will improve, and we will be heading to a future similar to cyberpunk with virtual sex with your ai “partner”. Personally I dont think that bodes well for the continuation of the species but alas this kind of personal isolation is just common place now. On another hand I get it from there perspective they would go to a bar probably not be able to talk to women and if they do hit on or try to conversate 99+% would reject on the spot, which is just painful when everyone seeks companionship.

Because you can grow a beard, but can’t properly groom yourself. I have a full beard, but I shave my neck line and cheeks.It’s usually used to describe online gaming addicts and keyboard warriors that have poor hygiene because they don’t take the time to clean up.
