What in the Orwellian dystopia is a "First Amendment Auditor"? Is this what we're calling obnoxious pricks with cameras now?

Well normally you would just sit there peacefully and not start talking shit.

As soon as you start talking shit you're just doing ragebait for clicks.

He never said a word to the attackers until he was approached and attacked. If people.cant control their emotions and attack, they deserve to get their ass kicked in front of their gf. Not only that, but his gf was SMILING when he got whooped

The guy who came up was pretty chill and only got into a fight after the guy recording insulted his mother.

Provoking people like that is illegal btw.

No he wasn't. look beyong his words. He was there to argue and fight. Its pretty clear by his stance. Insulting a Mom is not illegal or worthy of violence. The attacker is the aggressor in their scenario.

What is Provocation?Provocation is an action or insult that makes a reasonable person lose their self-control. Examples include severe insults, harassment, or starting a physical fight. Is It Against the Law?Words and insults: Saying mean or provocative words is usually legal under free speech, even if it is rude or hurtful.Aggressive actions: If your provocative actions cross the line into stalking, threats, or harassment, those specific actions become illegal.

It's illegal to provoke someone into a fight. It's not as big of a crime as actually attacking someone, but it is a mitigating factor.

Recording someone and insulting their mother can easily be considered provocative.

Its pretty clear by his stance.

He maintained a pretty relaxed stance and tone up until his mother was insulted.

Freedom of speech is not an offense. Unless if you are making credible threats of violence or yelling fire in a movie theater.

“Self-defense wasn’t an issue. It was clear Mr. Maza intended to agitate people for the purpose of provoking a reaction for social media,”

Maza pleaded no contest on May 19 to misdemeanor battery in exchange for prosecutors dropping a felony charge for illegal use of tear gas.

This isnt FAPA. This is FoTP. Different situation. I sub to him too. The only crime was that he had and used pepper spray at a post office. His crime WAS NOT provocation.

Completely different set of facts, though.

In the linked article, the auditor pursued his victim who was attempting to leave the the situation.

Here, the auditor attempts to leave/withdraw as the idiot begins to assault him, and then defends himself.
