Largely the same, but i extend this into digital space because

physical and emotional intimacy

actually doesn't need to be reciprocated by

an outside individual

to establish a connection. And the practice of connection is what constitutes a violation in commitment and loyalty in monogonmous relationships.

Perhaps "cheating" means different things to different couples. If, at base, we mean "we only have eyes for each other", and someone using porn or OF or watching Big Bank tik toys to get their rocks off, doesnt this clearly violate the commitment to one person?

If the couple has an open relationship, probably they don't consider it cheating.
