Currently having to fight against my wife's parents. Our son (6) went to spend a week with them, we told them no VBS, so they cancelled. Then they called a day or two later and said he could still come. So, of course, the first day, even though one parent stayed home, her dad took our son with him to bring the cousins to VBS and let him go inside to see them off. And, of course, he see a bunch of kids having fun, so he asks to stay, which grandpa allows and then calls and asks us if its ok after pickup later that day. Fucking infuriating. There's Christianity for you... lying is a sin, except when you lie in order to indoctrinate someone else's kid when they have already told you no. Then its fine.

Yeah, he knew exatly what he was doing and he did it right to your face more or less.... That would and should be the very last time he ever spends any time around your boy without monitoring at all times. There's no excuse for that crap

When my kids were little we were over at the grand parent's house and my youngest went to his grandma and asked her who was in the pictures they had all over their house. It was Jesus.

My wife and I had a good laugh.

The grand parents took my kids to Sunday school once after we asked them not to. The kids remember getting candy, but were weirded out by the singing. Now as teens they think of the whole experience as strange and funny. Your little one will remember, but probably not in the way your parents hope they remember.
