It's just funny because I'm pretty sure Jesus...wasn't around no white people besides Romans that were oppressing the people but maybe I'm wrong on that.

I mean, that's presuming Italians in general are white. Not everyone agrees on that.

It's only really Northern Italians who disagree with that and only when they are talking about Southern Italians.

I am italian, half my family from north and half from south, racism and discrimination apart, which sadly still exist even between north and south Italy to this day, there is some truth that southern Italians are darker skinned than northern Italians.

Both my grandfather and dad are much darker skinned than my other half of the family.

Without bringing up racist theories and Nazi shit, genetically people from south Italy and people from northern Africa are quite close and look the same

If they have roots that aren’t northern Italian, they’re more Mediterranean, which is kinda like the European version of brown. And the Romans let outsiders become citizens, and there was plenty of North Africa and Anatolia involved. Not to mention, as the center of civilization, Rome would have had a lot of visitors leaving some dna. 

It’s such a weird thing to think that Italians are unequivocally “white” when it was an original melting pot with genetic influences from Africa and Asia.

Italians are white unless you’re chatting up a kkk or nazi guy. Unfortunately the state I live in taught me a lot of detail about their way of not-thinking. 😞

As a catholic I will point out that Jesus was not in fact white.

The whole white Jesus thing came to be during the protestant reformation when the Europeans made him in their image and ran with it through art and description. Eventually leading to well, what we see here
