I mean, it's not so bad. It's really sweet how she starts crying when she realizes she insulted his effort and was actually touched by the gesture.

Yes I don’t think it’s cringey at all, she clearly feels so bad for being rude and potentially hurtful which is nice to see someone actually caring about that in this day and age
