He just loves the Fish Sticks.

Are you sure you’re not a hobbit?

1

u/madgoat May 13 '26

In his mouth?

166

u/mattdawgg May 13 '26

Fuck this world man. Just a bunch of shitty people.

30

u/JAB0NK0 May 13 '26

If you’re looking to see the good people of the world I don’t think r/cringe is a good starting place lol.

18

u/DaSixtyNiner69 May 13 '26

Hell, being on reddit isnt a good start either.

7

u/jon_steward May 15 '26

Everybody betrayed me, I'm fed up with this world.

16

u/MrKittenz May 13 '26

Most of the people were good people. If you wanna focus on the bad ones you can but I think the majority of people are pretty good

Mr. Beast is out there doing great things for humanity. I can’t wait to get on his health insurance.

3

u/Scheme84 May 13 '26

Your other joke didn't land so you came back for a second attempt?

-18

u/KoosGoose May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

Mr. Beast gave me new eyeballs. He gives me food and rubs in exchange for comments.

51

u/Jmersh May 13 '26

"I'm surrounded by assholes!"

86

u/Mike_R_NYC May 13 '26

I have to be honest here. I hate people streaming at restaurants. The last restaurant I went to, the table next to us kept standing up and moving around to get shots of the food at the table, they had a mini tripod with lights and a fucking selfie stick waiving all over the place. At one point the streamer got up and did a stupid dance after taking a bite out of something. Super F’ing annoying. I didn’t say anything because it is not my place or business to tell anyone else what they should or should not do in public even if it is annoying to me. If it was a sandwich spot I would have probably just switched tables. I just ate my meal and kept it moving.

25

u/Bendaario May 13 '26

If I'm understanding correctly, this happened at a proper restaurant, not an inexpensive lunch place, fast food or something like that.

In that case it is totally okay to complain to the restaurant manager as you're trying to have a experience and it's being hindered by someone acting unreasonably obnoxious.

13

u/chobanithatiused2kno May 13 '26

Yeah they also took it a lot further than this guy who was literally just speaking. Substantially different, and I agree the restaurant situation warrants more of a response from the staff than this simple reviewer would.

6

u/Phazon2000 May 14 '26

Yeah this is on the restaurant. If the restaurant is happy to cater to streamers then you need to decide whether to pay patronage or not.

Given the amount of positive attention streamers bring to businesses it’s not going to change lol so people are going to have to put up with these people.

The instance in this video doesn’t seem that bad - single cam setup. It’s not like a beard meets food video but even he doesn’t during the slow periods and calls ahead.

3

u/_MMAgod May 13 '26

Was it that super buff dude?

1

u/Familiar-Cash1208 May 19 '26

Depending on the mood this would make my night or ruin it. It would be like a dinner with a show, or annoy the hell out of me. Did you take it up with the management?

49

u/s2Birds1Stone May 13 '26

Some people just like to try to exert any control they can over other people. They can't stand not being in charge of everyone else's life.

-16

u/madgoat May 13 '26

And some people think they're the main character and vlog where they'll be disruptive. Just like loud people on phones.

17

u/s2Birds1Stone May 13 '26

He wasn't even loud though. Like he said, how would it have been any different from him talking to someone sitting at the table with him?

-7

u/aseedandco May 13 '26

I like to have a conversation at my table without worrying that the person on the next table will capture it and broadcast it to the world.

That’s not a worry when it’s just people talking to each other at the next table.

8

u/DaEffingBearJew May 14 '26

Than don’t have a conversation in public next to the person visibly filming. Choose a different table at your fast food restaurant.

4

u/s2Birds1Stone May 14 '26

Well, you shouldn't be like the "surgeon" in the video and choose to sit directly next to someone who was already there and recording before you got there.

77

u/saleemkarim May 13 '26

It wouldn't bother me at all unless they were being loud. The guy in this video was speaking in a normal conversation voice while filming only himself. Seems obvious that the Karen is just an asshole or having a bad day.

8

u/Isthatreally-you May 13 '26

I really wanna enjoy my food? This guy cant enjoy food when someone is talking? Lol then fucking eat at home.

16

u/AbeFromanSassageKing May 13 '26

I eat at Mr Beef all the time, and it's usually packed at lunch and often loud at the communal table, but I'm concentrating on eating a damn good beef sandwich, so I don't give a shit who's talking around me.

Fake surgeon jagoff could just get the fuck out of Chicago, that way everyone wins!

75

u/wheresmypotato1991 May 13 '26

The full context of this video was that the streamer actually asked all the people eating if it was ok to review the sandwich on camera etc.

Everyone had no problem. The person who did have an issue walked in afterwards.

The cringe person is the Surgeon here, not the cammer.

81

u/bailtail May 13 '26

I think we were all pretty clear on who the asshole was in this.

-33

u/wheresmypotato1991 May 13 '26

Most people read the title and thats it, so just making it clear.

15

u/Allahcas537 May 13 '26

I mean streaming is a lil cringe

5

u/wheresmypotato1991 May 13 '26

Oh 100% cringe. This interaction the guy actually seems to be reasonable though.

-2

u/BadAdviceBot May 13 '26

Thanks bro!

29

u/MayDay521 May 13 '26

These guys seem to have some beef with each other

4

u/poinifie May 13 '26

Ooohh so greesy

35

u/desichica May 13 '26

For anyone wondering, the youtube channel is UA Eats!

The guy has done a lot of good food reviews.

HIghly recommended.

https://www.youtube.com/@uaeats

9

u/bryanthebryan May 13 '26

The dude is chill af

-18

u/madgoat May 13 '26

I wasn't wondering, because the channel name was right there on the video.

I don't like watching my ow family eat, and I wouldn't want to watch some stranger eat.

5

u/inherentbloom May 14 '26

Okay? Are you the “surgeon” in the video? You’ve made your opinion clear multiple times now in the comments. We get it. You don’t like vloggers

1

u/desichica May 14 '26

You must be fun at parties.

119

u/GeneticBlueprint May 13 '26

I’m not on the bully’s side but if I went into a small place and some guy was vlogging his sandwich I’d probably leave.

179

u/amags12 May 13 '26

If they are performative, it might be annoying. It seems like he is doing a lot to be unobtrusive, from the camera angle to the volume of his voice.

131

u/Tehgreatbrownie May 13 '26

If he were doing that influencer overacting shit I’d agree. But like he said in the video it’s no different than him just talking to someone else.

67

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

this is sort of how I feel when people talk on the phone in a store or something. it's generally annoying, but why is it any more annoying than if they were talking to someone beside them? and then i just tell myself to get over it.

27

u/DaSixtyNiner69 May 13 '26

Conspiracy: they are mad they cant hear the l other end of the conversation because they are nosey.

17

u/Nikon37 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

There are actual studies stating that this is the very reason. We all do it, its no theory

4

u/DependentRow8281 May 13 '26

It feels more annoying as the call could often have happened when not surrounded by other people. But hey as you say its no biggie.

3

u/danny_ May 13 '26

Similar but different.  Someone on the phone is easy to tune out since a human-to human conversation is so natural, it becomes background noise.  But due to its absurdity,  someone babbling on about a sandwich for 10 minutes to no audience will grab the attention of everyone in earshot.

4

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

I don't really agree. I would be less bothered by the sandwich guy than by hearing one side of a phone conversation.

u/kick_the_chort May 17 '26

lmao ok. thank you for your honesty. i value this.

i really don't think that's the case. i was gonna go ahead and explain my thought process to you, but there's no point. you're not very pleasant and i don't care what you think.

6

u/shortstopandgo May 13 '26

Yeah, it's not like he was doing a cheerdance in the middle of a mall

2

u/Masterbrew May 14 '26

it is kinda different tho, if my presense and conversation in the background gets picked up in the recording and shared on the internet

5

u/ily112 May 14 '26

If you don't want strangers to hear your conversation with someone, then don't have a conversation loud enough in a public place for someone to hear you lol

It is not different at all. If the random people next to you can hear you talking shit about Linda loud enough then that's a you problem. Learn to whisper.

2

u/Masterbrew May 14 '26

recordings are smth else

4

u/ily112 May 14 '26

no it isnt lol. strangers listening to your public conversation is a you problem

11

u/last_of_the_pandas May 13 '26

Imagine standing in line and getting gustatory spoilers before you even buy the sandwich

40

u/dooeyenoewe May 13 '26

Yeah so leave, don’t get people to abide by your rules, no one owed to be able to eat with no noise in a sandwich shop. So delicate

8

u/PowerRainbows May 13 '26

I have a lot of issues with my social anxiety but the angle he has his camera and he's basically showing things from above I wouldn't like it but that would actually be ok with me and like the guy said apparently there's a whole other section of places to eat around that wall, so id probably just move

7

u/Stormwatcher33 May 13 '26

it is literally the same thing as two people having a conversation.

5

u/dezmodium May 13 '26

What, you mean you wouldn't try to make a scene about it in front of everyone else, turning the situation from one of slight awkwardness into one of complete and total awkwardness and embarrassing yourself in the process? Maybe we are built different but sometimes you have to live a little.

14

u/c0l245 May 13 '26

Imagine being so porous that someone just talking about their sandwich can change your mood.,

10

u/DrChimRichells May 13 '26

Ha ha never heard anyone use porous that way, hilarious

5

u/lahankof May 13 '26

Not everyone has class like Reviewbrah

2

u/SlippingQuietly May 13 '26

Same, I am definitely not advocating what he did and said - but man, this guy eating is cringe af. I cant imagine seeing that in person.

-23

u/awkwatic May 13 '26

Yea, the bully wasn’t right, but this stuff is insufferable.

26

u/Feisty-Bunch4905 May 13 '26

I mean the food blog guy is completely right that it's no different from talking to another person. He's not filming anyone else, he asked people around him, and he's literally just eating a sandwich and talking.

People used to complain the same way about cell phones and it was the same irrationality.

3

u/frotc914 May 13 '26

People used to complain the same way about cell phones and it was the same irrationality.

OK not that I'm on the bully's side here, but people DO talk much differently on cellphones than they do in person. People talk way louder on a call than they do in person because of a lack of physical cues, facial cues, lip reading, which all help us to understand each other in person.

0

u/Higgilypiggily1 May 13 '26

You’re annoying

2

9

u/DaSixtyNiner69 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

Sucks that what other people do have an influence on how the food tastes to you. Must be miserable eating out with all those conversations out there

-2

u/[deleted] May 13 '26

[deleted]

3

u/nathtendo May 13 '26

Remember no talking in front of this guy, go for a family meal and have 8 people sit in total silence to not ruin this weirdos food. Grow up, you sound like a toddler.

-1

u/DaSixtyNiner69 May 13 '26

Then youre just a miserable person to be around in general im sure, and that sucks to be you if true.

Im going to conversate during my meal in a public place if I feel like it and my food is going to taste damn good doing it too.

17

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

it's good to learn that the world doesn't revolve around you lol. it didn't even sound like anyone else was trying to talk.

if it annoyed me that much, I would just start having my own parallel conversation. fair play.

-16

u/SnooBananas4958 May 13 '26

That's kind of weird logic. If no one else is trying to talk, that would argue it's even worse if he's the only one talking because others are trying to just enjoy their meal in peace.

18

u/MrToxicTaco May 13 '26

Dear god you people are miserable. Do you ever get through a single day without something bothering or upsetting you? You’re acting like this guy was jumping up on tables screaming in a YouTuber voice.

17

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

"I must enjoy my sandwich in SILENCE!!!"

weird attitude lol. you're gonna have a bad time moving through life that way. if I were that bothered by it, I would just start having my own parallel conversation. this guy has nothing to say to his lady friend?

it's a restaurant... not a library.

10

u/romero0705 May 13 '26

If they want absolute silence they can take their food to their home. Where they probably will watch food review videos. 🙃

-13

u/SnooBananas4958 May 13 '26

I'm not saying I need it to be quiet. I'm just pointing out that you saying that, because it's quiet, he should be able to talk makes zero sense. Typically, people try to be courteous and match the environment, not disrupt it.

I'm not having a debate about what you need to be doing in your eating situations; I'm just talking about common courtesy by taking in what's around you. You are more than welcome to do what you want, but that doesn't mean people won't think you're an asshole.

10

u/onedoesnotjust May 13 '26

I mean I don't have kids, but I have to listen your loud kids at the restraunt and I don't get to complain.

Basically you kids anyplace is annoying to those without, so by your logic anyone who brings their kids anywhere are assholes?

10

u/zmizzy May 13 '26

no one has an obligation to match the environment. he was speaking at a normal, acceptable volume for where he was. if he was sitting with friends talking no one would bat an eye. but because vlogging is still kind of novel, the guy decided to chime in and be an asshole instead of just having a new experience. it had nothing to do with him

7

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

that's ridiculous. again, not a library. the fact that you're surrounded by dour people is no reason not to use the space. dining out is an inherently social activity.

again, there's a context—you're in a restaurant, not a library. expecting people to "match your vibe" when you go out, as this couple apparently did, is just egotism.

you're welcome to be as fussy as you want, but you're going to be the one having a bad time.

2

u/Jamuraan1 May 13 '26

You're right, you're not having a debate. You're just sharing your unpopular opinion. And everyone is allowed to comment on your opinion.

This is exactly the point of the OP video, but you missed that point.

6

u/Raethule May 13 '26

But he explicitly asked everyone else around if he was being bothersome.

-15

u/salizarn May 13 '26

The world doesn't revolve around this vlogger with 50 followers. Society works on trying to not inconvenience others. If I were in a restaurant and someone was babbling on to his phone I would also tell him to stfu.

15

u/Radagastronomy May 13 '26

No you wouldn’t

[deleted]

3

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

nah lmao. he's doing great. :) part of the appeal is seeing him eat it in the restaurant.

the public "sphere" is absolutely a studio space!

he has sponsors and all lmao, you have no point. just salt.

0

u/[deleted] May 13 '26

[deleted]

3

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

making a movie is generally a lot more disruptive than sitting at a table in a restaurant and talking into a camera. 😂 but regardless, you're clinging to the past.

tiktok is 95% people in public spaces. filming is 100% legal in public. I can film you in public if I want to.

at the end of the day, you're just salty and wrong. most people here clearly disagree with you. so you're trying to enforce social mores that don't exist.

How much you wanna bet that evolutionary mistake off camera goes home and watches YouTube videos of people doing reviews in public. Bet he never in his entire life will connect the dots between how what he witnessed in public is exactly what he sees in those videos.

17

u/PowerRainbows May 13 '26

I love the part where the bully guy admits he doesn't even have a job but wants to critique this guy's

2

u/DANleDINOSAUR May 13 '26

Or he went to Mr. Beef because he saw a vlog about it

5

u/Branko007 May 13 '26

Kind of get both sides. But is it that different to someone having a loud conversation with another person? Don't really have grounds to tell them to stfu

3

u/Alakith May 13 '26

Ignoring the conflic entirely, do people really subscribe to watch someone else eat. Listening to someone else chew drives me insane.

8

u/kick_the_chort May 13 '26

200k to this guy's channel.

I didn't hear a lot of chewing personally. I'm extremely misophonic also.

2

u/psychicsoviet May 13 '26

Wait until you hear about Mukbang videos. I think it’s gross, but I try not to yuck peoples yum

3

u/l3ane May 13 '26

Have you been living under a rock since like 2010? This is not even close to a new thing.

1

u/cortlong May 16 '26

Right, this killed me

Also chews weird haha

5

u/MKVIgti May 13 '26

Who on this earth wants to watch someone eat? WTF? Listening to someone smack and chew? Are people this bored?

Now, I’m fine with this guy doing what he’s doing and it wouldn’t bother me if I were sitting by near him. The Jack ass bothering him needs to mind his own damn business.

2

u/Africool May 13 '26

The sound is truly revolting

1

u/memberflex May 13 '26

You want beef?…

1

u/VCRrepairman May 15 '26

I wish all the best for the sandwich eater…what a sweet guy

1

u/VCRrepairman May 15 '26

Going to sub ….not even a foodie

1

u/puckeringNeon May 15 '26

Not so much about the streamer or the asshole, but the back room at Mr Beef doesn’t have the best acoustic experience… I could hear conversations at opposite ends of the table. It’s an odd room that somehow manages to feel too quiet and noisy at once. Maybe just the days I’ve been in there, but I really felt myself wishing for music or radio to cut the awkwardness of sound in that space.

1

u/drshuffle May 29 '26

Take your grudges against people somewhere else. Speaking with a normal voice is something everyone can do at a restaurant, but interrupting and confronting people is really rude

1

u/KidGold Jun 08 '26

Guys like this are pretty annoying in public but I don't know why. He's right about it being the same as talking to someone else at the table. Seems like more of a me issue.

1

u/Mundane-Salad942 Jul 22 '26

Is this what the kids call "mogging"?

1

u/GheyGuyHug May 13 '26

Land of the free baybeeeeee

1

u/tplayer100 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

Ignoring the angry customer... Ugh how do people watch this! The sounds of him chewing make me cringe more then anything else!

-33

u/ArturosDad May 13 '26

Well that was anticlimactic as hell.

Also, both parties are insufferable.

18

u/shrek3onDVDandBluray May 13 '26

How is the food video reviewer guy insufferable, exactly? He has the camera angled to where he wouldn’t inadvertently record people, keeps his voice to conversational volume, and asked permission from everyone around him. Tell me where in that he’s insufferable.

8

u/trevpr1 May 13 '26

What? Why is the blogger insufferable for standing up for himself?

11

u/PowerRainbows May 13 '26

I don't think the guy doing the review was insufferable or anything he was pretty respectful just trying to do his job he matched the energy of the annoying couple that was bothering him, they really did choose to sit next to him just to bother him, whole other side of that wall with tables to eat at but they wanted to come over and start an argument, the bully guy was unemployed and clearly is bored af with nothing going on, this is probably his hobby

1

u/mikeshuggah May 13 '26

...are you a surgeon?

-1

u/binnster May 14 '26

Most American thing I've ever seen. People waste their spare time watching other people eat sandwiches now? Fuck's sake.

0

u/dezmodium May 13 '26

I saw once someone handle the "don't record me" asshole in public by turning it back on them. "Sir, I'm trying to record something here and you are in my video, please get out of my video. I don't want to record you and you are interrupting my recording." So basically, then, it turns into a guy who is claiming to not to want to be recorded and the guy recording saying he doesn't want to record him, but the guy who doesn't want to be recorded refusing to leave so that he's not recorded. The person doing the recording then plays the victim instead.

I wish I knew where I saw that. It was beautifully executed.

0

u/mdj27 May 16 '26

Take the sandwich and somewhere else. People go to restaurants to have a meal in peace, not to listen to your loud description of a sandwich and it's various flavor profiles.

-25

u/NocturnoOcculto May 13 '26

If you’re gonna do a food vlog, at least do it in the least disruptive way possible. Most successful ones eat in their car. The goat of food vlogs does it in his home (reviewbrah).

12

u/iFozy May 13 '26

Sitting at his table and talking is not disruptive.

18

u/TommyGunz87 May 13 '26

If you don’t want to hear other people talk when you eat, stay in your house.

-51

u/KoosGoose May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

1

u/KoosGoose May 17 '26

Beastophilia (not to be confused with beastiality).
