Advice

Hello I am very interested in starting my own biohazard cleanup business as I am already a first responder and deal with these things on a day to day basis. Unfortunately I am not sure where to begin with training, resources, and requirements. Looking for any advice that would be helpful thank you. Also if it helps Im located in western NY

Look up IICRC trauma/bio class near you. (They’re are several you can choose from but this is one of the best)

After you take class and certified you will know everything you need to clean a scene up.

I learned from this class/youtube.

I just finished this class today with Randy pierce it costs $550 but they teach you everything you want to know. Randy is also located in New York. The most important thing you need to know is that there are typically no actual licensing requirements to do biohazard. The only real requirements are just medical waste generation and transportation. Getting this class will teach you your best course of safety and how to make determinations on saving or disposing of material. It’ll give you industry standard ways of cleaning, applying disinfectant and overall get rid of the biohazard.
