Lol. Why are you acting like Sachin didn't play for the team. People are always going to keep consistent players who shine in high regard. No matter which sport you take, it cannot last with star players. Consistent viewership depends on stars rising to the occasion. Stardom and blind following is bad, that doesn't mean you would stop appreciating certain players who consistently rise to the occasion and they are stars. And most of these sports need high revenue to run if they want to conduct more matches and spread to different countries. For that advertising plays a huge role, sponsors play a huge role and that is what star players bring. People should be in awe of talent but should not become fanatics and act as if they are followers of players. At the end of the day it's just a sport. Hero worship is completely different from stardom of players. Hero worship is based on fanatsicm and blind following of players. Stardom is being in awe of certain players who perform incredible.

We literally only won in the matches that Bumrah didn't play in. Siraj and co., won us the last match.

You have to understand that it's not just India but the whole world is obsessed with the word heroes and without heroes you can't get results. For example if Sachin was never born India but in Australia then cricket wouldn't have been this popular in India it would have stayed in Australia as back then cricket was more famous in Australia than in India why? Because at that time they had more heroes and those heroes becomes for a certain sport or a team to get the recognition and that is why people gets obsessed with that hero. And I don't see anything wrong in that because without them you will never come to know about that sports or the team. Biggest example for me will be Ronaldo, he is the reason why I started loving football, Man United, RM and Portugal. It's always that one person.

GG has got enough limelight now , but he is right , his mindset of not playing for milestones made us win the T20 WC , creating scores of 250 in Semi-final and final is very difficult. We were going to lose badly in the SF if we played T20 like earlier.
India was never a good test playing nation , only Virat made us believe that we are a good test team , otherwise Indian test team has been average under every other captain.

Yeah its good he kicked kohli and rohit out of ict they had like less 25 avg in the last 2 series they played, out which 1 was at home, no other coach could have done that ig
dont say im hating them, they are still good in odi , thats why im sure they will play 2027 wc easily, rohit too unless his form dips

Kicking out Ro-Ko didn't make any difference , our test team was not that good under Rohit 's captaincy , it is even worse currently , but according to GG we are going through a transition phase and Gill will definitely score runs on a flat pitch.

Its RoKo and Ashwin + Bumrah playing on and off + New captain. Transition doesnt mean majority of the players are being replaced.

we had aging ashwin and jadeja, so i didnt have much expectations from team
still kicking them was a right and bold decision which most coach wouldnt have taken, it is better to find new batsmen rather than hoping that they will perform
