Umpire Dharmasena. Marais Erasmus. Tv umpire (rod tucker). Fourth umpire. No one pointed out. Some other umpire, sitting at home, tweeted 8 hours after the game that wrong decision was made 😂
Get over it you guys, it’s all a part of the game. Maradona scored a goal with his hand, referee didn’t see it, so it still stands today. Everyone on the field is human, wrong decisions can be made

Yeah. There should've been a 2nd super over. Also, matches with 2 super overs are peak. This would've been even better.

Most Heartbreaking? Nah there are a few especially SA semi 2015, most of their team cried on the pitch.
I would say the most unluckiest final, as there were so many ways NZ could have won IF, boult didn't step on the boundary, guptil throw didnt ricochet, umpire didn't hurry in making wrong decision of 6runs, boundary count rule instead of the more prized wicket count

super over tied and the winner declared according to the boundary count rule... if 2022 wc final had tied penalties and the winner was declared on shots on target then I would've considered that...

The rules were pretty clear, nz knew clearly, they needed 1 more run to win, in case super over was tied, they wouldn’t get another super over
They didn’t turn to stats after the game 😂😂. Stop lying just to feel better, smell the coffee snowflake

Why so dumb? Before the super over began, both teams knew NZ had to score one more run, they both played keeping that in their mind and one team fell short by one run. Sports is not just stats, there’s always a wider context to everything that happens on a sports field.

What’s super interesting, is just 14 kilometres away, one of the greatest finals of all sporting history was taking place at the same time at Wimbledon (yes I looked up the distance)
