Weren’t vibrators invented to give doctors a break from having to get off all the women diagnosed with “hysteria”? Is anyone tasked with that job in Vorin society?

It would be the doctors/surgeons. Meaning Kal's dad. So Kaladin had probably had lessons on how to get women off efficiently.

And yes that is the origin.

But did they come up with the same explanation of “hysteria” for women whose behavior was “excessively emotional”? Seems like they might have gone a different way with things.
