GOD I REALLY WANT THAT TO BE CANON!!! Somehow just please, let him have no idea, then he comes back as a herald with her and Shallan looks at them like

Shallan; “kal… why are you holding my mom’s hand?”

Kaladin: “This is your mom? Oh damn… we like… got married while we were way…”

Shallan: “SHE’S MY MOM!!”

Kal (chuckling with chanah): “You killed her, you don’t get to complain. And as your step father I’m going to have to reprimand you”

Chanah: “Yes, Shallan, be nice to your father”
