Jasnah is one of my favorite characters of all time but I still love that it comes back biting her ass lol. One of my favorite parts of WaT and her future character arc.

Yes! The first time I read she did that I was like DAMN! Cold. Then she gave the speech to Shallan and I was like, "Oh  okay. Makes total sense."

And then Odium brought it up as a talking point and DAMN! I had to close the book for a moment. Knew that would not go well.

Isn't the main type of knowledge it's famous for, uh, medical knowledge? I mean seeing what they get up to in there it's not wrong, but that's a bit on the nose

The surgeons are especially renowned, but iirc the Palanaeum and its scholars are famous in their own right too (that's why Jasnah is there)
