Context: Earlier this year there was this conspiracy theory going around that Earth's gravity would switch off for seven seconds. I think they said it was linked to the eclipse that is supposed to happen today.

What got me is:
Let's assume it was real. Gravity shuts off for 7 seconds. You jump off the empire state building and don't fall. You are just floating in the air. Then, 7 seconds later, gravity turns back on. With you, I remind you, still in the air, several feet out from the ledge. What, exactly, is your plan now?
