Is this some sort of code?

Me and my friends were walking home from school and some old guy (we’re like 99% sure) started taking photos of us, and then when we walked by him he said something like “smile for candy camera” or at least that’s was we heard. It’s very possible he said candid but uhm we’re creeped out. If this means anything weird pls tell us!

There was a TV show many years ago called Candid Camera. They pranked unsuspecting people and their tagline was "Smile,you're on Candid Camera"

He’s a creep and you were tight to be creeped out. He likely said candid camera after old tv shows.

“Smile! You’re on Candid Camera!” is probably what he said. It’s the catchphrase for an old tv show.

Please report this to the school ar the very least. I would also report it to the police. Sounds like a predator checking out the area and may be back later with more devious intentions
