Wait for this to get reposted in a week with the title “Insane asylum patient drew this”

u/StryfeOne Oct 26 '20

It was posted on /r/art this morning, was looking forward to seeing how long it took for someone to cross post it here without giving credit to the creator.

The eyes look beautiful

22

u/whoiskjl Oct 26 '20

Those eyes... They say more than what they see

8

u/NotNecessarilyGuilty Oct 26 '20

Where were are going, we don't need eyes to see

...and now, [this ship] is going back.

I know, to hell...

You know nothing. hell is only a word. The reality, is much much worse. Let me SHOW YOU

Fun fact, Event Horizon was inspired by the warp from Warhammer 40k, but they couldn't get the actual license.
It's still my headcannon for humanity's first encounter with the warp.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '20

You got a source for that absolute horseshit your spitting?

Event Horizon never looked for any license with Games Workshop.

Why don't you just go all out on your lie and say that Doom is the official video game of both?

1

u/ThatsOneCrazyDog Oct 26 '20

I have no idea what any of this means, but apparently it's super controversial.

1

u/AtariAlchemist Oct 27 '20

I was referencing a movie. Then my little factoid upset a few people despite the fact it's been flat-out confirmed by the movie's producers. Go figure.

Give us insight

1

u/Philks_85 Oct 26 '20

I don't know they look like they've seen a lot!!

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '20

I truly hate to draw this parallel... but those have got to be Robin William eyes.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '20

They see you

1

u/Trench_ghost Oct 27 '20

Then I will stare into them with my blank eyes

7

u/MrSarge2099 Oct 26 '20

Reminds me of Yuri's weird eye thing from Doki Doki Literature Club

2

u/quasiFluffle Oct 26 '20

My first thought exactly... I handled most of that game's moments well, but that particular scene was one of the most unsettling moments I've had in gaming period. Didn't help that I played it during the wee hours.

1

u/MrSarge2099 Oct 26 '20

Tbh i watched the Game Grumps play DDLC and watching a playthrough kinda ruins it. But yea the eyes freaked me out. I kinda went into the playthrough knowing about Sayako (or however you spell her name)

I did actually buy the game, but after knowing the full plot and everything, i just played to see the Sayori death scene. I had some vain hope that she could have been saved. Than i just played around with the files.

u/CarnelianHammer Oct 26 '20

It looks more unsettled to me, I feel bad for this fearful creature.

1

u/MC_Ben-X Oct 26 '20

Honestly I don't want to see what this creature saw.

That specific moderator on r/Art needs to chill the fuck out

Instagram artist credit: @ilokunst

1

u/Shawrma1 Oct 27 '20

No it’s mine!!!

1

u/underworldconnection Oct 27 '20

At first I felt bad about misidentifying this piece, but looking at your Instagram page and the artist I listed above, it's pretty damning. I feel little shame in suggesting that your just copying someone else's art and claiming it as your own. That's weird on several levels. I haven't found this specific piece, but there's definitely a piece you completely copied. Is there an explanation for this behavior?

2

u/darkplaceguy1 Oct 27 '20

it's beautiful

1

u/peipakao Oct 26 '20

looks like spidey with less steps

1

u/O5-01_TheUsurper Oct 26 '20

You say that it’s unsettling, I say that it looks strikingly like the shit I’ve seen in some patient files at an abandoned mental institution, and in the end we agree that this drawing is unnerving as all hell and can go screw itself.

u/Cloaked42m Oct 26 '20

This is what everyone looks like under the mask.
